Riot please. It doesn't make sense that I get demoted after losing 1 game at 0 LP

Hey everybody, so for the past month I've been trying to carry myself to Gold and it was going pretty good except for the fact that everytime I get to Silver 2 I get demoted. Now you're probably thinking "OH, you're just getting demoted cause you're not good so get good." Well that's not the case here. Whenever I just get into Silver 2, say I win the first game. 18 LP nice. Then I lose my next game, damn back at 0LP. But the part that I'm furious about is that if I lose the next game I play at 0 LP, I GET DEMOTED! Is there not supposed to be a safe guard for a couple of games at 0 LP? The worst part is I usually lose those games to either having an afk or a seriously toxic team that just curses each other out the whole time. I just really think this is unfair and I would like to know why this is happening to me. As soon as I get demoted to Silver 3 every time, I just carry the next 3 games back into Silver 2, and then the whole thing happens again. Please help me because I don't see how this is fair. :(

The buffer is there to stop you from falling due to bad luck if your MMR is still high enough to justify your current rank. If your MMR indicates you should be a lower rank, that buffer is gone.

If you keep up this pattern, it WILL stop doing that to you. If you keep pushing straight back to your promos that fast your MMR must be rising.

makes a lot of sense... if you are 1450-1500mmr which is Silver 1 but if you were any lesser you will get demoted

To be honest, you're at a 51% win-rate after 400 games. Unfortunately what you're doing is not working, and you're very unlikely to get to gold with what you're doing right now. That being said, you appear to be a top lane main like myself so I may be able to help you.
