Adcs and Support thoughts on Assassins

This is primarily aimed at ADC and support player. How do you feel about assassins in the current game state? Are they overpowered and one-shotting you too quickly for you to react, or are they not a threat? I'm an assassin player and I just wanted to hear from the ones that I usually am tasked with going after.

Assassins are a huge problem right now unless you have certain supports. Zilean / Janna for instance hard counter assassins. You can also get tabis / guardian angel and it becomes even more tough to kill you.

Braum solves this. W your adc E incoming abilities. Build knights vow. Build Locket. Ward. Win.

Assassins as it stands are a mixed bunch.

Any assassin with no delayed burst is way too overbearing to fight, and the only assassin doing well WITH delayed burst is Fizz.

When I play support I focus a lot on stopping the assassin and it's a challenging part of the game - something good supports can do much better than autofilled Brands. When I play ADC, though, I feel like there often isn't anything I can do since I have to depend so much on the rest of my team to first know where the assassins are, accurately predict what they'll do, and react when they go for me. This is far, far too much to expect of most players, thus the appeal of "self-peeling" ADCs with escapes.

I despise them. Them having the ability to engage from wherever the fuck they want, while also being able to just run away like a bitch when they get caught is beyond annoying. And especially in smaller skirmishes and 1v1s it doesn´t really feel like that mobility is accounted for in a champions power-budget nowadays.

dmg-wise i couldn´t care less. As a support you are underfed and everyone oneshots u anyway and no one will peel for a support ( be honest, how often did that tris in your game not use her R to save you just so she could save it for herself? ) so there is not much of a difference between zed killing u in 1sec or 1.2 seconds. the problem I have is more about how foolproof those engages are. No surprise we need the dumbest countermeasures aka instant point and click shields and cc to fight the equally dumb way how assassins can hunt down everything as long as they can stat check the target they chose.

im a supp main and really it depends on the assassin and the supp im playing... it feels like not only do i have to try and counterpick my enemy supp but i also have to play someone that can control enemy assassins... if i make the wrong choice then im either with a fed bot lane a fed enemy assassin or both...

Everyone is dealing too much damage, including assassins. That said, if they aren't able to delete their target then assassins as a role are pretty useless. IMO most assassins should get more slipperyness to quickly get in and out- either for a trade or to finish a low health targets and retreat. They shouldn't be so reliant on the concept of 'kill or be killed' which leads to these stupid levels of damage.
