Fix the ranking system please Riot

So I’m going to post here until Rito decides to fix their ranking system. I can’t disagree with losing lp for a loss, but I can disagree with how it is determined and how much you lose. As I understand it, the amount depends on your team’s MMR. So no matter how good you do, if your teammates feed and your team has higher MMR you lose a lot of lp. That makes no sense and isn’t fair in any way. Why don’t they take into account personal play?

Usually I'll scout a game during loading screen to know who I need to worry about on my team and theirs, not always will every lane be able to carry and so it is up to you to help any lanes struggling against their opponent(s) after you've won your lane. If you lost a game when your score was 10/3/6 and the rest of your team feeds than you have full potential to win that game with some communication with your team, but if all you do is flame at the people dying then you won't help anything and you'll leave it up to them on whether or not they even want to try to help you win the game. Also they do take personal play into account on occasion, Loss prevented has saved me from troll teams a few times here in bronze but I don't play ranked often enough to "climb". It's the end of season 4 everyone is pretty much where they belong if they've played only ranked all season. The rules in ranked soloQ are different from normals, You can win a 4v5, you can feed and still win, it just takes you to really be better at your champ then other people on their champ. The craziest things happen in ranked.

(Response): Yes you can help lanes that are struggling. But if your bot lane gives 5 kills to the opposing adc before you even have a chance to help, there is nothing you can do. It not only gives them a fed adc (one of the most terrifying things in League), it also shows the skill disparity. It is nearly impossible to win late game with a bad adc.

(Quote): If you lost a game when your score was 10/3/6 and the rest of your team feeds than you have full potential to win that game

(Response): No you do not. If the rest if your team feeds that is 4 people feeding. League of Legends is a team game, if 80% of your team feeds there is nothing you can do. Even if only 2 feed, there is nothing you can do 3v5.

(Quote): with some communication with your team, but if all you do is flame at the people dyingthen you won't help anything and you'll leave it up to them on whether or not they even want to try to help you win the game.

(Response): If they’ve fed they’ll likely be pissed off and not wanting to communicate. But let’s say they want to win and listen to you perfectly. You can’t shotcall a game threw chat, it’s too slow. Plus, if they’ve fed, they aren’t as skilled as the other team. You can’t win with an unskilled, or significantly less skilled, team.

(Quote): Also they do take personal play into account on occasion, Loss prevented has saved me from troll teams a few times here in bronze

(Response): Loss Prevented isn’t because you played well. It’s because something happened with Riots servers causing some people to dc temporarily. Nothing to do with your play.

(Quote): but I don't play ranked often enough to "climb". It's the end of season 4 everyone is pretty much where they belong if they've played only ranked all season. The rules in ranked soloQ are different from normals

(Response): Same game, same rules

(Quote): You can win a 4v5, you can feed and still win,

(Response): Very rarely, and you need to have an incredibly skilled team. Which, if someone has fed, it likely isn’t.

(Quote): it just takes you to really be better at your champ then other people on their champ. The craziest things happen in ranked.

(Response): I went 53/10/9 on Akali a long time ago. (It was a 4v5). We lost because they held out until everyone was 6 item, and getting fed does nothing when everyone is 6 item. It is all about the teamfights, they had more people.

Conclusion: I looked you up, you have played very little League of Legends, and I personally take this game very seriously. (Yes I’m only silver, I started recently). If you do not know your facts (which I have proven above), do not post.

You're confusing the way it works, it's not about your team's MMR vs the opponents. It's the average MMR of your game vs the MMR of your current division.

If your personal MMR is high, you play with higher MMR people and gain more LP. As long as your MMR is at least up to par with your division, you'll gain more LP than you lose.

That doesn't make any of my points untrue. Let's say my team has an average MMR and one of the people still feeds horrifically (they could be good, just a really off day or something). And we're playing against people with a lower than average MMR. I'm still going to pay for his mistakes. You see what I'm saying?

Unless you're Challenger or playing exclusively in the middle of the night, you'll never play against people with a lower average MMR.

The system is setup in a way that you only need to win half your games to go up.

Fair enough, I don't know how it all works (specifically). That still doesn't address the fact that you can go man-mode and still lose 20 LP. A completely unfair and unjust deduction. Couldn't Riot make it so that you only lose 5 or 10? And the people that did the feeding go -20?

Standard gains appear to be in the +18/-14 range.

If you're losing 20+ per game (or lose more than you gain), your MMR is lower than your current division and the system is trying to push you down.

My standard gains I'd say are 16 and the occasional 20. (Very rarely anything in between). My losses are almost always 20/21 (very rarely a 16). Now you see my irritation. If i gained/lost 20 every time I'd be a gold 5 right now. Because I needed to win one more game, I'm still S1

I have a few diamond buddies that also take this game very seriously, and yeah I probably take it the least seriously of my friends but I'm just trying to be mister nice guy and speak from our experience. Good Luck Happy climbing :D

well, the only thing they could work on is, fixing the matchmaking for rankeds. Last time I was playing ranked with my team, and my team had a player with 7 wins and they did duo queue up with an unranked player. That's first very unbalanced, as well not fair for them and for us. they lack of ranked experience, as well they ended up feeding without knowing what do in ranked. I know it's just a game, but please, create a fair ranked match making.
