Many ADCs lack skill requirement

My main issue with this game are the champions which only have to right click. Most ADCs are simply right click = penta. I am curious if ADCs are supposed to be this way, or if they are too strong. Either way, I think that the champions which require more mechanical skill should do more damage and generate higher rewards, meanwhile in botlane there is a Jinx who simply right clicked and got a double kill. Reply with how you feel about ADCs.

The thing about ADC is that while it is overturned right now due to item prices, they still require skill. No other class in the game aside from assassins is so position and mechanically intensive. And you say "right click mechanics" try and stutter step at 2.14 attack speed with only right clicks in a minion wave. "But that's not normal" yes it is, most ADCs that go double Zeal get above 2.0 attack speed because of Zeals, Grieves, and maybe runes plus Bork. Not to mention they are a generally low mobility class with very little survivability besides hope your team cares about you. You say that marksmen are low skill, what about Sona, Soraka, Malphite, Maokai, Xerath. These champions either just sit back and hit the same spell over and over again, or go in and face roll while being hard to kill. Marksmen are not hard, but they are mechanically intensive in a different way. Going from one class of champ to a other, how many of an ADCs mechanics transfer? Not many because there are very few solely auto attack based champions. Yi, Xin, and maybe a few others.

ahem, what about kiting? using qss properly? teamfight positioning? dodging skillshots as you are the most vulnerable class in the game? if you think adcs are too easy I'm pretty sure you haven't played adc much. (coming from a mid/top main btw)

lol what adcs are you talking about. the only one that your describing is mf ult thats it. please name another one. varus u need to build to nuke people, ashe q u need to build stacks and you dont exactly kill people quickly, vayne is single target, jhin is single target, cait is like ashe and sure i used to build her like mid varus because her q is actaully better then his q and eq killed pretty much any champ. sooo please tell me what adc your refering to besides mf?

Most ADC mechanics are relatively easy (though I would say Most champion mechanics are easy). What makes ADC difficult to play is positioning. Literally, every enemy champ is looking to kill you FIRST. The enemy will save CC for the ADC just waiting for them to get to close. Every assassins will sit on the outskirts of the team Fight waiting for the ADC to stray just a tad to far from their tank/support who will CC the assassins. ADC is one of the most unforgiving class if you get caught by any of these, you don't have health, you don't have resistances, you don't have reliable CC if any at all. Enemy finds you out of position, you are dead.

this dude probably went 0/4, build black cleaver first item then complains why he dies to the 5/0 enemy fed adc.

like bruh, build ninja tabi and chainmail gg u can 1v1 a 10/0 adc with the right champion.

If you don't count cs, positioning, trading, target selection, adaptive itemization, and champion mechanics as skill requirements, then sure.

Is this a troll post? Most adcs are easily one of the most mechanically challenging champs in the game,Vayne,Draven,Kalista,Lucian etc,not to mention most of adcs have no cc and low mobility so being a cm out of position can usually mean death, not to mention youre the highest value target so most of the time youre going have to deal with divers and assassins on your own,not just hope your supp saves you while you stand there soaking up the damage. You want to tell me tanks are hard? Point and click mages like annie and malzh are hard? Assassins like talon are hard? I dont even have to search to see,i know youre bronze or silver elo and prob never played an adc in your life, try it

90% of the people defending ADCs are actual ADC mains. Try this, play a different role for 20 games. You will notice that your own main, role, and playstyle is over powered. Of course, most people will not care because there are people who main fizz and veigar, but I cannot play over powered champions in ranked. Playing op champs makes me feel like a dickhead.

I use to main ADC and eventually got tired with the fact that my success was usually based on how well I farmed and how good my support was. It's frustrating. ADC's are useless once they get behind.

Back in the day ADCs were super easy, because the only thing you had to do was provide a constant source of physical damage for team fights and taking towers. You could still do super carry things, but it wasn't a requirement. As a top lane main I would pick Sivir and just hard push and follow my team's lead. I did the minimum requirement of the ADC's job and made myself super easy to carry.

Right now you have to do well as an ADC. You don't have to win lane, but you can't fall behind too far. You absolutely have to carry and get picks once you hit mid/late game, and as someone who is not experienced as an ADC it feels horrible. It might be the case that playing ADC has never been easier for an ADC main or for someone who plays it as a secondary role, but on a similar note it feels a lot harder to get into the role in the first place.

The only real skills that they require to have is good positioning and kiting well.

Yes. People that justify it saying you have to be careful so what, there should be drawbacks and of course if you are putting out mage damage every half a second with a right click you will be focused by assassins and everyone else.

If they are so ez, why not play them a bit and climb out of literaly the lowest rank in the game? Love all these people thinking spamming skillshots is a difficult task, maybe that's why you are struggling in bronze 5?

AlienPrimate12/21/2017, 12:45:41 AM1 votes

I have massive difficulty playing ADC's so I chose not to even when I'm stuck in bottom lane. If it was so easy I wouldn't struggle doing it.
