Okay, I typically won't complain about a game mode. But with ARAM, I'm noticing 2 things. Severely unbalanced teams is the first. IE my last game played where they had Yi, Jinx, Corky, and Xerath. And we had NO distance. I understand it's up to a Random Number Generator of some sort, but honestly the RNG seems broken. Why do I say this? Because out of my last 8 games, I got Amumu 3 times, and Akali twice. With the 7 free champions I have 27 total, yet rarely see the majority.

Now issue number two is people creating a second account for only ARAM and getting the champions that are severely overpowered for the game mode. You see it a lot with people getting marksmen characters and only being like level 12 or so summoner wise,

Your aware ARAM stands for All Random All Mid right? It's meant to be random and unfair. It's also good for new players because when you get in game and do terrible no one can blame you cause it's ARAM. You lost a game? It's ARAM. You got your main? ARAM. You got someone you forgot you own but you're stuck with playing? Bloody ARAM. Most of the time you will hate it, but if you don't like it why are you playing it in the first place? Talon

You aren't praying to RNGesus hard enough. But seriously; it's completely random and you were just unlucky. There are some champs that are much better in a single lane with no escape, but do you really want Riot to remove those champions, or just nerf them so bad that they simply don't work?

It's just a fun-mode. Try to have fun with it even if you are at a severe disadvantage. And, if your teammates are the kind of people to waste their rerolls and not have them when the whole comp is bad, there's really nothing that can be done about it except ask them to use the rolls more wisely in the future.

The issue is that it's not completely random. Between ARAM accounts and rerolls certain overpowered ARAM champs see play a lot more than other champs.

If five people are given a 12-sided die, and one person is given a 6-sided, does that mean the 6-sided roll is not random?

Average across all six rolls, 1-6 has a higher chance of showing up, but it is still random. This is what I'm saying, nothing more.

Yeah but it's not "completely random" as you suggested due to rerolls and selective champ rosters on ARAM accounts. Completely random would be all champs for everyone and no rerolls. Also your analogy doesn't really address the OP's concerns as the people with the 12-sided dice will have an inherent advantage if they are trying to roll high.

No the 12-sided dice don't have an advantage, the 6-sided die does because those numbers are the preferable ones...being the smaller pool of champions that you want. 1-6 being good champs and 7-12 being not so good, the 6-sided doesn't even have the bad numbers on it.

It doesn't matter how many times you roll the 6-sided, each individual roll is random. Only stopping your roll when it's the number you want is not a reflection on the die's ability to be random. In other words, the fault is on players, not the mode and not Riot.

Fine, then the 6-sided die has the advantage. Either way there is advantage involved, and a truly random system would have no inherent advantage for anyone.

So you want 100% of champions open, and no rerolls. Propose that to Riot, then.

People will still dodge when having bad champions, and it still won't be "truly random".

Actually dodging would have no actual impact on it one way or the other. You'll lose good team comps due to opponents dodging just as often as you'll lose bad team comps due to a teammate dodging.

Dodging has no impact??? You seriously need a lesson on statistics; first you get the dice analogy backwards, then this?

If you dodge every time you get Evelynn, it is a simple statistical fact that you will have Evelynn less often.

not saying unlock all champs. unless someone comes up with the leavebuster able to tell when someone disconnects, and when they do instantly lock that game mode for a certain amount of time. Wasn't saying I didn't like it, was commenting that the All Random is less than Random actually. Hell keep ARAM locked unless a certain number of champs are owned... IE own 15 champs without the free ones.
