azir for example because i just got shit on by a zed early game i killed him and i thought to myself i have better poke but if he all ins he can kill me but his w e q combo was doing so mich dmg and is near instant i could dodge a few but it was doing more dmg than my w q aa combo i had exhasut and got hourglass second item because i needed the sustain i dont know what i did wrong maybe got hourglass late idk if thats the case its dumb that i have to change runes mastery summoners and my base build just because its a zed

Zed is a completely broken piece of riot shit. The only counterplay option you have available is for your team to play around him as if he has the plague.

Zed is an AD caster. Its perfectly acceptable for an AD caster to do the same amount of damage as an AP caster in the mid game and AD casters will out damage AP casters in the early game because their base damage is so much better.

The problem comes when AP itemization is so bad that AP casters cant scale better than AD champions.

Well by that logic the same should hold true for Katarina Diana Akali etc...

He has one true poke ability and it's not even that fast. Doesn't take a lot of effort to predict which way it will come

The problem isn't that Zed's WEQ does more damage, because it should. He's an assassin, and as such, is supposed to deal insane damage, especially when he has ult. The problem is that you need pressure. This is what hardly anyone understands. P R E S S U R E Zed early game to gain an advantage. Poke him out of CS, fine. Don't over-extend around level 4, because he can get his Jungler to come in and he can secure an easy kill unless you have mobility like Fizz or LeBlanc. When he uses his W, that's when YOU go in for the trade around levels 4-5. Next, roam. No Yassuo jokes here, literally just roam, and he'll be forced to sacrifice his CS for objectives, or vice versa. If he chooses to help his team, he loses CS and has to spike later. If the other way around, you still get objectives, and an overall advantage.

As for spells, don't take Exhaust. It's not that good anymore, because it doesn't reduce damage. It only slows now, so take Barrier or Ignite. And if Zed is somehow ahead, rush Zhonya's, and if he is behind, take it as a precaution around your third or fourth item.

summoner 3 just doesnt reduce attack speed. Also, zed is one of the best farmers under tower due to his passive. And combined with lifesteal of any kind.... your poke wont really stick to him. His Q also hits twice. He throws TWO projectiles which each do, i think, 215 damage at rank five.
