twisted fate's burst damage

I am quite new to the game(i play for 6 months or so),and the past 2 of them,i saw,loved and decided to main TF.It took me quite the time to master his basics,i achieved some great plays with him but sometimes i just find it hard to get that out there are some mid laners that can do the same amount of damage (and more)and..EASIER.I know that Fate can be marvelous if played wisely and concentrated but it sometimes get just too hard ,seeing a Brand or a Kata just pressing R.My question is : What is your opinion for the oncoming items?It would be really helpful if i hear and idea or two,about the ideal new build for Twisted Fate.

TF is all about ganks and getting picks lategame. If you wanna play burst mage, there are better alternatives.

Brand is all about his spell combos Kat is about timing and knowing appropiate engages TF is about positioning and map awareness

I wouldn't focus on other champions and them appearing to be "easier", stick with TF as he's a strong late-game mage with great map control
