This biggest problem I have with champions like Kennen, Jayce, and Gnar.

So for a while these ranged top laners have been a huge problem, because of the fact that they basically make nearly any melee champion withouth a gapcloser (except for irelia and riven and a few others) completely useless during the entirety of laning phase unless they get jungler ganks. This is fine but the main problem I have with this is that they don't seem to fall off. Kennen for example can bully you to hell and back during laning phase yet doesn't fall off due to the fact that his ult can easily win a teamfight, and the same thing with Gnar, he can be complete frustration yet his ultimate can completely screw over your team in a second if he gets a good one off. Jayce may not have the biggest impact in a team fight as the previous two, but his range and damage is still nothing to simply look over.

Yes, I know that these three are not the only lane bullies in the game, the problem comes that when other early game bullies like renekton, darius, illaoi, and pantheon dominate you in that phase of the game you can almost count on them being useless in teamfights later on because they either go full tank and do no damage or vise verca and get blown up in fights (Illaoi doesn't fall into this necessarily but she does get heavily shut down if the enemy team buys an executioners or moral reminder or morellonomicon). I just hate the fact that champions that make me hate the game early on still have the ability to destroy me completely in teamfights later on.
