Shouldn't it be similar lvl, rank, amount of wins in both teams?

So, im playing this game for 3 years and im silver every season since then. I started playing with my bf a few weeks ago, he is now lvl 12. Every time we play, summoners or aram, enemy team are people the same or similar rank to me, and our team are people that dont know the basic, they dive, die about 25 times per game, buy nothing the whole game... I opened lolnexus (if that tells the truth) and it said our teammates are lvl 6-10 and it happens every game, so, it never turns out good. I wanna know why this happens every time, shouldn't it be similar lvl, rank, amount of wins in both teams?

MMR (essentially, perceived player skill) is typically the most significant factor in terms of matchmaking. Number of wins isn't as important, since it implies experience rather than skill level. Rank doesn't matter at all, especially when not playing ranked, as every queue has separate MMR.

In general though, pre-30 games tend to have messy matchmaking. Pre-30s haven't played that many games yet, so the system is still trying to determine their skill level. Plus, the pool of potential players is probably much smaller, so matchmaking is already struggling to fill games.
