Blood Moon Jhin's Footsteps

I've played plenty of Blood Moon Jhin on the PBE, but I cannot pin down what procs the skin to have the trail of bloody footsteps. I love it and I think it is great, but I was never able to figure it out. It felt almost random. I've spent countless hours in customs looking for the answer. I've tried kills, sprees, pentakills, full builds, AD limits, life steal limits, highest possible crits, specific items, in-game time-- Then (when I'm not even looking) out of nowhere, the prints just appear.

However, now they are gone completely. I cannot get them to proc at all. I suppose my questions are, how were they triggered in the first place, and why would they ever be removed? It was a gorgeous addition to the skin, I absolutely loved it.

You're talking about the movement speed buff from his passive-- That isn't it. I'm talking about a passive, consistent blood trail when you walk around. Just as the skin, it's not a game play feature (to my knowledge). It isn't the 'wispy' sort of design that Riot does with bonus movement speed. Literally ink blots/bloody footprints.

A friend of mine, as a joke, stated that the footprints themselves could have been a bug. It was funny, but now I'm starting to wonder if that's true. That was one of my favorite parts to this skin, yet I can't find anyone who knows what I'm talking about. I can't find anything on the internet of it's existence, how to trigger it's effect, and why it was removed.

Alright, I found a couple references to assist in letting people know what I'm trying to describe.

In Redmercy's video titled "BEST JHIN SKIN EVER!! - Blood Moon Jhin Gameplay - League of Legends" Jhin has the bloody footprints. In this case, unfortunately, nearly all game they were not present, but they were somehow triggered at 21:10.

Another in J1VHD's video titled "BLOOD MOON JHIN ADC GAMEPLAY - League of Legends". When he revives at 20:00 Jhin receives the footprints.

I think its after he get 300 AD, can someone confirm or deny?

Unfortunately, no. I've had numerous late game builds reaching over 800 damage and there is nothing, yet in J1VHD's video the prints appear at about 250 AD when he revives at 20:00.
