you lost lane, deal with it, play rammus and trash her top lane.

shes squishy and cant dive the back line without flash.

any form of cc will destroy her.

biased poll is biased. learn not to feed her :). she's really not that strong if she doesn't get fed, and remember, going 2/2 vs. a 2/2 Riven means you will probably lose. her stats just scale so much harder. However, pick Irelia/Mao/Mundo and proceed to tank everything lategame. Riven beats squishes, tanks beat Riven.

And yet, she's considered trash tier in both China and Korea from what I understand. She is easy to defeat if you don't pick a squishy champ into her and you keep her from snowballing.

Honestly, she doesn't farm all that well unless she's using her abilities on minions, is very vulnerable to hard CC and relies heavily on items to boost her damage midgame. Many champions can wreck her in lane and get her far enough behind that she is easy to focus and crush at the start of most teamfights.

The current meta with cinderhulk and a lot of tank junglers or even 3 tank (top, support, jungle) team compositions promises to be a major challenge for most Riven mains. A good tank can stop her from getting to the backline, and as almost no Riven builds defense, she's easy to kill after that.

She's squishy, and is bad against very tanky opponents. harass her until her shield is down, then initiate. Win.

Here's the thing. We know she has a handful of counter picks in lane. ALL champions do to some extent. But when you compare her to other feast or famine melee carries (Fiora, Tryndemere, Olaf what have you) You'll notice that she ignores that oh so necessary option that is only left to those champions.

Riven somehow has:

and late game, Split push and Hyrule jump to team fights in ten seconds.

Her late game has so much utility and damage that it brings to the table, and that wouldn't be a problem if she had a resource or high cool downs on all her abilities, but she doesn't. People build her as a bruiser with CDR and three big damage items and she can pull trades out of her ass.

Give her mana, hell, give her energy if you don't want a nerf to either go into her damage or her late game cooldowns. But as she stands, especially in mid level play, she's this year's Jax. And we know what happened to Jax.

She has really watered down numbers and can be shut down by tanks and CC. I'm not the biggest fan of her concept but she does have genuine counterplay, even if you don't counterpick.

Riven is not overpowered, she's kit strong. She gets free defense for building offense, has no resources, low cooldowns and incredible burst with hard CC. It'd usually be broken, but:

In exchange for this, she has been nerfed to Hell and back. She really isn't that good. She gets complaints because of her design pattern.

In the designer's defense, HE NEVER intended for her to have as high of base stats as the balance team gave her. A fed Riven makes you feel like crap, but CC (And tanks) really, really hurt her, even if she's fed. So, she does have counterplay, too; in addition to just not feeding her or counterpicking her.

lol i main riven and lemme tell you getting fed is just as easy as getting shut down, people just pick squishy champs to try to out damage her which we know riven has a high burst, and people just become hot heads over it they feed one kill and dont realize shes snowballed, farm under turret. If you want to counter pick her try champs with hard cc malphite, maokai, any tank champs, garen beats her pretty well, riven can be shut down easy with any cc people just dont realize, nerfing her would just put her out the meta. In summary, you wanna win lane, and stop her snowball, ward well for ganks, and pick a tankier champ or one with good cc.
