12/8 PBE Update: Even More Tentative Balance Changes

I really cannot believe how this could happen. I'm OTP heimerdinger. If you check statistics he is not an OP champion, after the mini rework he is OK, there are so many stronger champs who deserve to be nerfed. He has 52% WR while many champs have higher WR. He is getting 50% cut damage on his ult (Q) for no reason. The beam of ultQ needs anyway the use of 3 spells that will be in cooldown: R Q E while there are champs like veigar that only press R button and will deal more damage. It's really not fair, heimerdinger has a very low play rate and the decent win rate he has is due to OTP who played him thousand of games and get specialized on him. Heimer is a very hard champ to master and many people don't play him because of this: why playing a 52% WR champ so hard while many more champs have the same WR with a higher ease of use? Veigar, Annie, Malzahar, now Morgana as well. Do you think it's fair at level 6, if you are a mage with 50% healt, Veigar can ONEshot you with a point and click ability? Maybe beam damage is very high on heimer, but at this point you MUST increase ultW damage or other balances. I'm really really sad about this, Heimer is a one trick pony champ and many people hard worked to get decent with him in a flood of overpowered champions. Many people cannot play against heimer just because you do this: he will never become popular hence people won't never learn how to play against. I just wanted to say that the day this will be effective I will uninstall League of Legends.

Heimer is a disgustingly broken champ. He's just not played by enough people for you to realize.

HEIMER HAS ZERO, ZEROOOOOO, counterplay for MELEE champs. Stop being one tracked minded. Heimer is 10x more annoying than teemo because he sets his shit up starting at lvl 1. Heimer and Teemo are top 2 contenders for melee counter champs with absolutely no way to play around them. NONE.

Stop complaining cuz your champ now requires an ounce of skill to play instead of putting shit down and letting it play for you.

Disgusting nerf.. why riot? There are so many champion who deserve nerf.. like yasuo, katarina, riven, jax etc. etc. There are a few heimer players in the community.. why do this? This few player will lose this champion..

Even if Riot thinks he is a bit strong these nerfs seem overly harsh. Half the damage off the beam is insane. Seems like the Sona nerfs from last patch all over again to me.

It's really stupid, and people say it's too hard to deal with him but they have no idea how to play against him so they just say he's op, when i play against heimer i wreck him every game because i know his weaknesses, without turrets he's 0, and this change made him less turret power which is just free kill atm, his turrets have 24 cd, and you can kill that turret in just one ability and for AD champs like yasuo it takes 1-2 hits to kill the turret and yea pretty much gg, this nerf wasn't needed at all..

Good, Heimer is a toxic champ who should never have been made for he doesn't fit the playstyle of League.

I'm pretty sure it's targeted at the splitpush build. You know, the one where you go unsealed spell book, buy a zz'rot, and a Banner, and a Ruby Sight Stone?

Nerfing Heimerdinger right now, with so many other overpowered champs, would be absolutely ridiculous. How often has Heimerdinger been used on the World Championship stage? Ok, maybe you are considering this because of low elo people complaining. Who does Heimer counter so hard? Darius? Darius can 1v5 if fed. I think it is fair to have a champion that can give him a hard laning phase.

Heimer if anything could use buffs to increase his popularity. He has low popularity so he never gets skins and now you want to nerf him too? Why not just delete him? If you nerf him that badly, you'll be deleting his players anyway.

What I don't understand with this nerf is that it dumpsters ult turret, but leaves others untouched. I mean, why such a specific change, was tower that overpowered?

Tried playing this nightmare on the PBE -keep getting wrecked. Heimer now feels like a support. Ult E is all I am good for. As for laning, yeah, I am a sitting duck for ganks. Riot, if you go through with this nerf, we Heimerdingers are done.

im gonna build rabadons cap first item and narrow the gap (or even make more damage early levels ult) of the damage lost cause of the nerf. and still get my swag double kill when they gank with the cost of 1 death but money for the 600 gold hourglass(and this will be even more antifun for my enemies cause i will not have to change my runes to have hourglass from the start but keep the ap growth ones). if they want to make a nerf like that on his damage then they should bring back his locked on target missiles and then the flame about heimer from opponents will be even bigger. heimer is a full skillshot based champion,while there are champions like nasus or veigar that stack for ever and those stacks are unleashed on enemies just by being near them and click on them,not a skillshot at all

by the way those complaining that top lane heimer is a nightmare to deal with are probably some nasus q spammers that cant farm under their turret. there are so many top champions that can deal with heimer easily. -garen. wait for the laser beams to explode,then go for the little turrets that can be destroyed all in once if they are placed close to each other with e. do that and then back off again to go back in with full life again and again with his passive until the point you build 2 items and his turrets do 0 damage unless heimer goes full mp -quinn. just aa from out of turret range -urgot,jayce,gnar,ekko,illaoi all have skills that can destroy his turrets without even have to be in range having to dogde -and of course tryndamere who is the easiest champ to counter heimer in top lane. go straight for his turrets aa them and wait him to drop his grenade. its time for spin and gg. until he gets his cd for grenade you have destroyed all his turrets without being in danger of getting stunned and hit by 3 lasers beams. and you get so much energy with these aa you can get back double the life you lost with his q. at some point heimer will only have to use 1 or 2 turrets because they have cooldowns once you put down all 3.

ps. BTW i bet that all little donger's bitches complaining about his turrets dont even know when they are ready to blast a beam or not. and its not even a matter of having to check times they last shot a beam. its displayed on the screen all the time and you know that if you dont get hit by his skillshots the beams will not fire.

If riot nerf to R+Q of Heimerdinger, then the champ need some buffs in other skills. If not, then Heimerdinger will be useless play him

I'm a Heimer main who was FINALLY enjoying the chance to sometimes carry a game. And you just completely gutted this champ. This is a travesty... WTF

This wasn't simply a "nerf" it was a heavy handed AMPUTATION. The Donger was cut in half.

Yea, if you are lucky enough to have the opposing team line up (and sit still) in a nice straight line for you, you can throw your ult e (bouncing), but you'll be lucky to catch more than 2 people with it. And rarely if ever would you use ult w (rockets) in a team fight.

RIOT's slashing his primary team fighting ult essentially in half. HALF! That's no small tweak. His number one contribution in a team fight just made impotent and listless. It was pretty much a "fight or flight" anyway. Opponent choice. Stay and take damage, or clear out for a few seconds. More a zone of control that forced an opponent to decide.

So, yea, if you didn't like the fact that it was hard to gank a Heimer in lane because he could use ult turret to defend against a 2 v 1, RIOT you win. (if it was a 1 v 1 you just step back and don't die) If you willingly choose to stay inside of a large laser beam for very long, you kind of deserve to die. Alternatively, If you just wait 5 seconds, you could play whack-a-mole with his bulbous head, relatively worry free after that.

The dinner bell has been rung. Junglers, gank til your hearts content in lane. Team fights? Feast away on tasty Yordle flesh- small turrets aren't normally set up, so stun or rocket lands don't proc small turret damage.

You've never seen Heim picked once in any worlds competition play. If he was so OP, and that ult so good, you would think the best players in the world would have exploited such overbearing damage long ago.

EVEN IF RIOT THOUGHT IT NEEDED AN ADJUSTMENT, you have to question the Heimerdinger PM's judgment with the severity of this decision. It's been the same for years, and all of a sudden it needs a 50% whack? Why use a machete, when a scalpel will do??? Balance yea, right.

its neat that you think heimerdinger isnt broken and youve played a million games as him. But i rally doubt youve ran into the displeasure of having to lane against a heimerdinger. It's probably one of the most one-sided lane matchups for any melee (and half the ranged champs) top. He promotes dumb, non-interactive gameplay and id rather there be 40 champs more broken than heimerdinger that atleast i can PLAY THE GAME against.

Why is everybody complaining about how much less of damage his ult does in a teamfights WHEN HEIMER IS NOT A TEAMFIGHTING CHAMPION. He sits in one lane with banner of command, Zz' rot or both, his turrets, and autopushes lanes all game. He is a split pushing champion. His whole kit is designed to SIT IN ONE LANE AND AUTOPUSH IT until champions come top and you kill them with a speed boost passive, stun, turrets and minions. Period.

This might honestly be more of a Runes causing a nerf then anything. One of dongers stronger plays was to bait people dropping and empowered turrent and using Zhonya's. But now if they start with Stopwatch they can do the play earlier and it makes his window of punishment smaller.
