Vayne is a hyper-carry that requires excellent positioning and mechanics to pull off. Tristana is much more forgiving, as she has a giant dash to get out of sticky situations. Trist is also a tower melter, while Vayne exceeds much more at shredding tanks. It depends on which of these playstyles you're looking for
I think you should start playing Ezreal instead of Tristana, Tristana can be interrupted during her rocket jump, while Ezreal's acts a flash.
Ezreal has a far more forgiving playstyle that works really well for me, personally. I generally widdle down the opponent with my Q's and then I all-in with damage.
Ezreal doesn't have THAT much of a learning curve, and can be dealing out shitloads of damage just so long as you avoid the Blue Build for now. Just build Tri-Force.. basically the recommended build.
Vayne is a WHOLE different ball game. You NEED great positioning and is only someone you use when you're not trying to hardcore push and playing for a later game.
Vayne is also AMAZING in this new Tank Meta. So use her if you feel you THAT'S your game playstyle :)
The question is do you want to climb in ranked or learn how to play champions? If you want to learn champions listen to Jbels but if you want to climb ranked just stick to twitch
