Rengar needs a mix of CDR and AD, mostly so that his R is ready when ever and so that he can stack his ferocity quicker. It's not uncommon for a Rengar to have CDR runes and get a Spirit Visage plus a Ghostblade or Warrior Enchant, or all of the above in some cases.
