Malpahite and Mana

Hello good day. I have a very urgent question and that is why Malphite uses Mana, if it is a stone. Being a stone and its abilities throw stones and hit stones should spend life instead of mana, right?

Greetings.

i dont agree with the hp cost but a dif resource would be cool but outside of a cool factor it serves no purpose he just needs base mana increased or cost decrease on q almost every other tank destroys malf top so needs rr or a mana fix
