leash?

Grouchy Old Bast··1 votes·1,934 views

any jg that requires a leash needs to go practice in customs till they figure out how to start with no help. I will not leash for you if you want to jg. I can jg and NEVER require or have a leash. leash makes laners weak by them not getting early cs & xp.

again if you choose to jg learn to start with no leash.

Most junglers don't need one. You do it because one or two AAs won't cost you any CS, you'll be in the proximity in case of an invasion, can help control early vision and because it gives your jungler a faster first clear so that they can, get this, help the team quicker.

No, mid laners should not leash, but the ADC/Support can.

Folks: you're arguing with an unranked that regularly goes negative in his games. Just downvote and move on. /endthread

ya fuck giving your jungler a faster clear so he can gank faster. who wants that right?

anyone with your mentality shouldn't play a team game because you clearly are not a team player

If any laner refuses to give me a leash when I have asked nicely, I can always start without the leash but I WILL take it as a personal slight and WILL ignore your lane :)

Who's your Daddy now!!!!

sigh lmfao.. I do know the game.. and no jungler should require a leash I suggest you take your own advice.

You can keep telling yourself you're a car when you sit in the garage and pour oil over yourself. You can keep telling yourself you know the game like a pro, and there's obviously things you still don't know.

Deep Terror Nami7 votes

As Troy said, it's not about needing a leash, it's about speeding up your clear time with zero disadvantage to the people that helped you.

Kazaashi7 votes

You sound like a person who would complain about how bad your jungler is the second the enemy one comes and ganks you.

It's not like it's a team game or anything.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

if I did not see the enemy jg come to gank me that is my fault for not having a ward set and watch map. the jg cannot be everywhere and laners should be able to adjust their play to help him help them.

your assumption is incorrect.

Trídent6 votes

They don't NEED it. But is very helpful and helps your lane. If you don't leash, they will be farming for a lot more time, and you will have NO RIGHT to complain that they have not helped your lane. The highest amount of cs you would lose would only be 1 or 2.

I would hate to play a game with you.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

hmm.. I never require leash and tell wannabe leash to go lane even gone as far as base so the insistent ones leave. clear times may vary depending on who I choose to use but I have never been less than level 3 when I base first time.

and if you are one who "requires" leash I rather not play with you either.

Trídent7 votes

Learn to read. Require and need are synonyms. Level 3 also is quite low for the first back in my experience. You can return at level 4 or 5 if you have the right rotation and leash. (And I rarely jungle.) Unless you play Shaco, a leash is very helpful for jungling.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

I said rarely less than 3 ... u need to read as well. and yes usually 4 or 5 depending on many things. as far as knowing that requires and needs are same yes and I choose to use require since many seem to think it cannot be done without leash. I can read just fine tyvm

Trídent2 votes

You said "never less than 3" not "rarely." So, have you been less than 3? or not? Yes, I need to read, but would you kindly make it easier by reviewing what you post?

You apparently do not know that "requires" and "needs" are synonyms, because I stated, "They don't NEED it" and yet you still stated 'if you are one who "requires" leash.'

Unless you play certain jungle champions, leashes will boost your jungle performance by far. After looking up your match history, I found that you main Nunu jungle, who is strong at camp clearing and could go without a leash. Tell me, are you able to clear your entire jungle before you back? That's how Nunu's supposed to work.

Just because you find you don't need a leash because you are playing a champion who doesn't, doesn't mean any other jungler who wants a leash is a bad player. You are narrow-minded and need to consider jungling isn;t just playing Shaco or Nunu.

How you should've made this pointless thread was to say "Nunu doesn't need a leash" not calling people bad. Fix your attitude, still leash for other junglers. Thank you for entertaining me.

And a counterargument from 50000(and so on)

any laner that requires a gank needs to go practice in customs till they figure out how to lane with no help. I will not gank for you if you want to lane. I can lane and NEVER require or have a gank. gank makes laners weak by them needing help from their jg again if you choose to lane learn to lane with no gank.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

yes i can clear entire jg with Nunu who I have been using, I can also do it with Amumu who I started with, I can do it with Skarner who I have used the most, I was able to do it with XinZhao a while back so unless something has changed I should still be able to. I will try Olaf later and see if he can do it ( I suspect he can). .

i made this as a lee sin who is way stronger than any of the champs I have used said they cannot start without leash? it was made for that reason I am sick of you so called pros requiring that I come and start your camps for you.

again I will not leash for any jg ever.(well maybe but not today)

Trídent2 votes

You can clear the entire jungle with amumu, without a leash, in one rotation? I highly doubt that. You will never improve if you stay so stubborn. If you refuse to leash for a jungler, he has every right to go to your lane and take all of your cs.

Btw, I'm not a pro, but I still have more game knowledge than you apparently. Some people here are, however.

You can jungle without leashing, but based off of your match history, you can't be a good jungler without leashing.

Trídent1 votes

Lol. I highly doubt you can clear an entire jungle before your first back. I spectated part of your game as Olaf, until it was too much to bear.

Garen still leashed for you, YET you still backed at level 3, and it took 3 more backs before you became level 5. (Olaf also has great lifesteal, so of course you could go without a leash) You only ganked top, and you never ganked successfully. Master Yi counterjungled you pretty hard. You also went to other lanes and taxed and pushed them, although you never ganked.

You played too aggressively, tried to 1v2 fed champions numerous times and got caught out of position way too often, due to you playing too aggressive. You never truly ganked bot or mid, you just took their farm and left.

Learn to play before you tell others what to do, or at least realize there's still room for you to improve. Obviously, I'm not a skilled player, but at least I'm open to suggestions and not stubborn on a topic.

Stop playing champions that can go without leashing and calling others bad who don't play those jungle champions. I'll stop discussing this with you now. You're a waste of my time.

Why are you losing xp/cs?? are you trying to duo/trio jungle with him? Auto the camp 2-3x maybe a spell and leave.. Thats it and no XP lost no CS lost..

No leash, no gank for you.

AMYS GRAVE4 votes

If you are losing xp and/or cs because you are leashing you are doing it wrong.

Laughing Fish3 votes

For zero cost (seriously, if you miss cs you leashed very wrong) you can give your Jungler the ability to gank lanes sometimes several minutes faster? Nah, sounds terrible.

Zorae422 votes

Maybe for some jgls Shaco who doesn't really need one.

But usually the first clear is very difficult /leaves you vulnerable to counter jgl. Some champs need specific runes/masteries just to do it properly w/o a leash.

Not everyone has the right runes, or they may chose to run runes that are more useful late game instead of the ones they'd need to get their first clear w/o leash. Some people even do weird picks like Lulu jgl who I assume really needs the leash no matter what.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

I use Nunu Skarner Amumu and tried XinZhao never asked for or required a leash. you start with item 2003 item 1039 items for a reason. I will be trying Olaf since he came up and still will require no leash. as far as lulu or other weird picks for jg that may require leash.. go practice in customs and see if it can work solo if not pick a different champ to jg with.

Leashing SHOULD be MANDATORY. Mid IS NOT exempt. Leashing means Jungle can stay in the jungle longer and gain more powerful items faster as well as getting to ganking earlier, early vision control, and protection from invasions.

As a filler role myself I play all roles equily. Jungle and Support are the most annoying because of poorly though out threads like this. I think the guy what said "Mid should NOT have to leash" is a Jack Ass. The pros leash, ever thought to yourself "Why" they are professionals they have every aspect of the game figured out.

just because you are clearly a moron I will type it out for you.

  1. Invasion. If your jungle dies. he gave out one free kill potentially a buff he is behind now his team is flaming him he is scared to gank because, he all ready gave out one kill. down a buff he potentially needed to be a Jungle. as before mentioned early buffs are huge. if you are playing Jarvan and they kill you and take your blue you don't have to go for his blue but, the alternative is you being level 3 when the enemy udyr is level 6. Or, you could risk trying to lvl 1 smite his blue in an a desperate attempt to catch back up knowing if he can catch you its just another death.

  2. earlier ganks. if I am level 3 and every one else is level 6 I REFUSE TO GANK ANYONE. simple as that. No good can come of being under leveled.

  3. Early vision denial. if they try to invade but, decide to just ward blue and you catch it, you CAN stop them from stealing your blue. which means they just wasted 2 minutes of their life doing nothing. Which means THEY are BEHIND and UNABLE to GANK.

  4. this is probably the most important reason. when I am in the jungle I do DRAGON and RIFT herald at 6 MINS in. if I am level 3, first of all, I can't solo dragon my team won't come help me or trust me because, I gave out first blood and they are doubting my capability. the worst part Is that freebee first blood kill there was NOTHING YOU could have done to GET AWAY.

So, you tell me better to be safe and leash, or be a douche and completely shit on the moral of your team before the game even hits the half way point.

Mid IS NOT exempt.

lol. Sorry no. Mid helping a leash hasn't been a thing since early season 3. Mid stopped that cause they lose the most exp/gold from leashing being the shortest lane that minions get to FIRST. Other two lanes are quite enough to help the jungler.

Crowe Stalker1 votes

Mid is exempt unless you are starting blue or red (which is very uncommon considering Gromp will usually give more clearing potential than Blue and pretty much anyone starting Red would be more benefited starting Krugs because red burn doesn't stack) starting any further away will put them behind in lane, that one or two cs can be painful against champions capable of committing to a fight at level 2 like Cassiopeia or people who can two-combo into something ridiculous like Swain.

Your Top or Bot should be sufficient, no one should be asked to miss CS over a leash.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

lol @ ignore my lane and farm my lane.. most so called jg that require leash do those things anyway.

I never expect help from jg. if he helps great if not oh well.

for those who can start with out leash good for you, for those who REQUIRE leash .... ha ha ha it won't be me leashing you go practice in customs and learn to start without help.

also do not care if you ignore my lane actually prefer you did. go "help" them other lanes that cannot function without a gank cause they don't set wards and use map when they push.

as for the "invade" I stand guard until minions are close if enemy has not invaded by then I go with minions to get early cs and xp over enemies I usually hit 2 before they do as a result.

any jg that don't like it too bad.

AbiwonKenabi3 votes

So you are saying that, if you playing mid for example, you would rather have zero help even if the enemy jungler is camping you? And let's say, hey, the enemy support started roaming and maybe top lane tele'd in for a gank a few times. You wouldn't want your jungler to come back you up ever? There's no way you can hold the lane on your own for very long unless the jungler was nearby and ready to help you.

I get that mid doesn't really leash anymore, but if you are a side lane and the jungler is starting on your side, 2 or 3 auto attacks is not gonna make you miss CS and can be really helpful in speeding the jungler's first clear along.

Grouchy Old Bast1 votes

in mid I have had this happen and played very defensively as a result. I told the jg to go help the other two lane win their towers since so many enemies wanted to be mid. both top and bot won easily and yes I did lose my tower but it took 3 of them 11 minutes to get it. we won because even though I was a lil short on cs the 3 way xp split hurt them and helped me out level them. not seeing an argument why a jg should be leashed from this example.

Trídent1 votes

Standing by yourself and guarding will obviously prevent an invade. Great logic. If you actually were invaded, you'd just give up first blood.

insaiyanbacca1 votes

ok and i assume as laner you dont need ganks right? i mean any good laner should know how to play without getting any ganks to help them out right?
