Players that don't vote on surrender count downs.

I believe that those players that ignore the surrender dialog box in a game (we are all familiar with that guy) and let it count itself down rather than voting; should in fact, be treated as though they have said yes to the surrender. My reasoning on this is that if that said player chooses to ignore this **TEAM **vote then their lack of attention may have been extended into the match at hand. This lack of attention makes it rather frustrating and difficult for others to maintain the desire to care about what's left of the battle, especially when it is clearly a stalled lose. These **TEAM **votes are for when the battle is all but a clear defeat so that players don't have to wait for the enemy to take their time by killing off every structure, monster, and player they can before ending the game. By surrendering, the defeated team can move on to another battle where they have a new chance for a better game.

IE: Let's say 3 people say yes to a surrender. 1 person says no. 1 person never votes, which is counted as a no currently, even though the enemy team has 20+ champ kills more than we do. That 1 person that never voted could have just gone afk or intentionally not caring to work as a team.

I'd rather see the above at least say 3 for yes and 2 for no. At least then, each has voiced their choice as part of a team. I say change a NON-VOTE on surrenders to an automatic YES!

Many people who have toxic teammates that spam surrender votes just drag the surrender popup off the screen. This way, as it pops up, it doesn't appear in the middle of the screen. It does and should be counted as a no.

^exactly!

But: As a real QoL: Just remove the surrender-window when the vote is clear (4xyes / 2xno). Especially in the "no-scenario" non voting people are kinda annoying. ^^

And: (I really hate Surr-Spammers) Make the Surr-Inquirys of ignored people invisible and automaticly declined. ^^

What if it is worth like half a vote?

Meaning you would need 3,5 votes to surrender.

People typically don't vote when they either don't care about the result of the game, or want to have fun before it ends. I can think of a lot of games where I was having a lot of fun getting a ton of kills and being overall very successful while my team was being absolute shit, to the point where the game is an assured loss regardless of what I do. In times like that, I just don't vote when they ask to surrender, because I'm having fun beating the enemy while my team gets beat by them.

If they don't want to surrender, why the hell do you think that they want to? It should definitely count as a no. There is no debating this.

20 kills is difficult to comeback but it is not impossible. you should look at my latest anivia victory. The whole team had a crappy game. Especially me cuz i had nothing to stop lissandra from just throwing Q in my face. And when i get close to her use my E. She would freeze me and im dead. Anyway, take a look at the gold chart. we were nearly down by 10k twice!! Go to show a game is never over until the nexus fall

If you think it was luck, look at my latest viktor game. this time we lost the mid game completely. Fell down to a 9k deficit but dragged ourselves back and got the W

If I'm ignoring a surrender vote, it's because it's being spammed by a toxic teammate who thinks because the team isn't doing things his way, they should just surrender. Usually because I'm focusing on winning the game at that point. I don't know what made you think this suggestion was a good idea.

Dawngate does this, if the person doesn't vote then it treats it like they don't care. So 3 yes 1 no and 1 dont care is a successful surrender. It works really well in that game. If someone doesnt want to surrender they can click no.

Probably more often than not, the reason a player doesn't ever vote is because they moved the obstructive vote window off their screen. Riot needs to fix that by making the window non-obstructive before they assume players don't want to vote.

Agreed. See my comment below.

Now I know for myself that if i'm going to start a /ff then I do it after a morale crushing team fight, just to ensure that ya know... it goes through. But I've been in multiple situations where the game can go either way, and to be honest I don't really have any idea if I want to surrender or not. and yet, before the game deciding team fight happens, the vote is thrown up by someone. And well at that point in time, I'm still in between. because if the fight ends up being dragged out, we may have a chance, we may blow the cc on the right person for once. Or not not. So yeah, all in all, I feel like it should count it as a no, because not every vote comes at the right time to give up every game.
