Is Shen actually worth it?

I honestly like playing Shen if there's an enemy hypercarry or a skirmisher like Yi or Xin. He's great at dueling AA-reliant champs and pretty much killing them every time due to the power of Q-W and being able to stop them from escaping with E.

Of course, he's utter shit before like 25 minutes since his bases are so low. He loses lane to pretty much everyone as well.

(A side note on the dueling thing, I was able to outduel a fed Xin in 1 game who pretty much melted everyone else on my team just due to Shen's raw DPS if he's able to hang in a fight.)

I have about 200k on shen all together.

Short answer : No. He is not worth buying at the moment.

People felt like he needed buffs before he got nerfed because worlds. He is not a good solo queue champion and his one CC is easily sidesteppable. I do not recommend buying Shen.

He also loses every 1v1 matchup except for like riven when he recalls.

The sword gimmick is unbearable, but his jungle is insane. I've solo'd Rift Herald at 12 minutes with him.

He kinda sucks. Old Shen was great. New Shen I wouldn't even call him a support. I'd not waste the IP/RP. There are way better champs.

Maybe as a Top Champ.

Because he has literally no ranged poke, he is even more Passive in lane as Support than Janna with none of the benefits she brings.

Honestly, they should just revoke the rework they did to him. It made him overly complex for no return.

If your looking for Fun, I personally find Shen a super fun champion.

For effectiveness you might as well play a Trashcan, cause at least then you won't get the harsh feeling of being dumpstered every game.

Is his CC or mobility good?

He just got a buff today though.

Yeah he was underpowered, but he should be decent now.
