Riot...us long timers need something to spend IP on...

Hi, I am posting this in regards to the fact that I have 60k+ IP... and nothing to spend it on. I guess i could use the summoner name change, but i like my handle and I'd prefer to hold onto it. I have been enjoying League since the closed beta, and during my long stretch I have managed to acquire all the runes, champions,rune pages, and various other goodies I was able to spend my IP on. Well now here I sit with nothing to do with all my IP and I would like to suggest that maybe you unlock certain benefits when you own all IP priced items. Maybe the ability to purchase skins with IP, gifting friends a certain amount of IP per day, new special runes/icons/ward skins and such. I still love this game, and will continue to play, but it would be nice to not have that feeling like I've come to a dead end as far as IP goes and there isn't much more that I can do beyond what I have done already. You are creative people and I have faith that if you decide to reward us long time/loyal players it will be something special and fun. Thank You, ~Caiden

Give us the ability to give champions to friends.

Nothing would help new player experience more than a friend tossing you a champion or two they adore. I'd love more content for me but I really want to share the love with friends.

but to the point: I do agree that they do need to make skins unlock able via IP

How about some new UI for you're profile like instead of the scroll you could buy a Zaun or Piltover or Shurima or maybe a specific champion one like Heimerdinger as a UI theme for profile, and also buying borders cause theirs always that old summoner guy maybe we could buy new ones

I'm surprised Chroma Skins weren't purchasable with IP along with RP. I thought they were going to do what Smite did.

I have 220k IP. I have literally nothing to spend it on. Kinda sucks.

I'm in the same boat having over 60k Influence Points and nothing to spend it on. I hope one day Riot will add in special Skins or sparkly shiny loot for Influence Points. Ward skins even!!

So I've read some comments and some of them are really good ideas. I like gifting champions but that could also have some unfairness to it. Both player A and B are brand new, but player A got all the champions already because they know some people. Player A still have to learn the champions, don't get me wrong, but if both player A and B are equally matched skill-wise, then player A can counter-pick player B because player A knows that player B mostly has the free champion rotation to play. Gifting runes is worse because it gives power directly. I like the wheel of fortune (Call it the wheel of Miss Fortune) idea. I guess they can make the IP prices for skins ridiculously high but I still dithering about that... I haven't seen anything about gifting summoner's icons, however. It's pretty much useless and can't be seen in game anyway.

Now for my own idea. With the referral program gone, they could bring it back with some of these ideas. You can be the "mentor" of whomever you referred. The mentor has a unique interaction with the referred. For example, the mentor (and only the mentor) can gift the referred a few things a day with prices in IP.

I have most of the runes I care to, and am only missing ~25 champs. I'm nearing that "nothing to spend IP" mark myself too. I think the Chroma skins for 50k ip would be a good start. Perhaps gifting runes would be a better idea than champions, because you can't spend RP to buy runes directly (and I could never justify buying the IP boosts), especially since this is one of those things that gates new players from getting into the game and staying around.

It'd be nice if you could have the unlock skin mechanic of ARAM in SR that you could pay for with an outrageous ammount of IP... like I dunno 1250. Then you'd make your teammate happy and you wouldn't feel like you've "beaten" the game.

Honestly, the biggest desire I've heard, is being able to gift people things with IP.

You're playing with a brand new friend who wants a champion? You have massive amount of IP laying around? Gift them some Champions that they might enjoy!

It may actually help retain new players if they have a long time veteran friend that could gift them some champs to help the grind seem less difficult.

suggestion: make battle boosts cost IP instead.

(its not like we were buying RP for it anyways; most were using the extra RP they had laying around)

How about a mini game "Wheel of Fortune" where you get to spin the wheel if you pay a X amount of IP unlocked at level 20 and a limited number of spins per day.

Every section a X% chance (ex 200 ip prize at a 20% chance) 4 special sections that will include

section where you get 0.25 "L"points, at 5 points you unlock a mystery quintessence & glyphs T3 box,
section where you get 0.25 "Z"points, at 5 points you unlock a mystery mark & seal T3 box,
section where you get a lucky coin (low chances) at 5-10 coins you unlock one of the 3 skins made for the wheel of fortune.
section where you get a crystal (low chances), at 5-10 crystals you unlock one of the 3 summoner icons made for the wheel of fortune.

Other sections with 1 win ip boost, 100 IP, 200 IP, 300IP, 2 win ip boost, free spin (low chances), 350 IP, 400 IP.

Good for the players looking for a boost or some IP, and good for the ones with tons of IP to spam daily to get that icon or skin. Idk if its a good ideea with this gambling system, thought i try and give a suggestion

It also sucks for people (such as me) who have just started like a season ago and have nothing because champions, runes, etc., are expensive for a person who doesn't have time to play at a constant rate.

If you were able to gift champions,runes etc with IP riot would lose a lot of money. Here is why.Imagine you gift your friend 100k IP worth of goods. If these are runes you are essentialy helping a bronze/silver have highest tier runes,multiple runepages and a larger champion pool to use against his tier enemies. This is extremely broken. Not only that but you are essentialy boosting more ppl to ip edge, thus causing more ppl to complain about surplurous ip. At that point Riot would need to do something that would make them lose money.

Well... I don't want to be that guy but if you really don't know what to do with your IP you could gift people things. I'm in silver 3 and its hard to get a handle on IP :/
