Camille is better as a support than a top laner?

I've been playing nothing but Camille support and from my experience it's so much better as opposed to going camille top lane. As a support Camille is capable of peeling for her with her stun and slow as well as being able to deal a good amount of dmg to the enemy adc. She can also lock down the adc with her ultimate giving her adc a free kill, possibly even a nice double afterwards. She also her nice mobility with her E so she can engage, disengage, and exit fights pretty easily if need be. Combine with the fact she can build Tanky she could be really viable as support. What do you guys think?

You're better off playing Braum or Trundle support instead of Camille. Most of her kit only benefits herself.

Thats the basic idea but for the odd'ball supports. I can at least imagine Camille can be a useful disruptive support due to how her E lets her jump and stun a start and the powerful slow on her W can grant another auto or two op for the ADC. Still i'm not the fan of what might as well be basically a trollie support play, less the champions kit lets the B.S happen while still being a strong top lane aka Nautilus.

Still if your going to be a disruptive support, you might as well just be Trundle or the standard harass AP types Annie Morgana and Lux, champions who can work with low itemization building, but when they throw their weight around it can really flip a clash.

With Lux, Don't even get me started with on how many times i've manage to force a enemy team to not team fight or chunk alot of their health just with a starting R soon as the team fight starts, even if i did not have E or Q hit first. Former leading to a easy split push or bust a tower since the enemy team does not want to not risk hiding under the tower to be dived on at 50%~80% health on most of them, latter easily just leading to the same result since 2 or 3 enemies end up dying fast afterwards a few seconds later for that health just falling off.

Point and case: If the Support can cause a major match flip then it works, But Only if it works. Outside of Camille opening up a perfect R on a squishie to give that split second kill moment, her W chunking max health on a few targets in the outter ring, rest of her kit works more for dueling and chasing a target from escaping, not much in the case of team fighting outside of being a jungler/top laner and playing a Fighter/Tank that takes down dangerous squshies quite easily (if PLAYED right) but not be some troll like Nautlius and stay around to get massacred.

Otherwise, your basically just being a troll yourself by joking about Camille being as Support then Top Laner. Likely your issue might be how you build itemization wise, based on practicing several times with her in top lane and jungle i can say for certain her high point is in the mid-late game where she has built her necessary items, her entire kit feels like it needs little use in lots of ASPD and she is more about those big damage chunks. Proven considering her Q's enhanced second hit will translate all 'ON-HIT' effects (Yes, that means Camille is part of the item 3078 norm club) to be affected by her true damage conversion bonus (which becomes pure true damage at level 16).

Before then, her damage can feel a bit lack'luster but enough to sometimes do enough of a trade to make an opponent who constantly aims for harassing to regret it when your level scaling Q's true damage slowly creeps into evaporating health bars, then get another reason to recall ASAP to recover when her W slashes them while they run so you get some heath back to boot. Though rank scalings not significant in difference enough to where bringing her E up first shows better effectiveness once you get that strong attack speed burst for a perfect wall jump stun initative to slash slam them hard. Try to remember not every champion is cookie cutter B.S. itemization kits just because they are in one particular lane where its mostly dominated by champions who build specific items, Now if only we can get specific champions out of some particular lanes because they are just plain broken due to specific itemization kits. :/

I can see your point. She does kinda seem like a troll pick with all your points. I still feel like if your good with Camille it's still viable (that and it's pretty damn fun tbh) but would be more suited towards blind pick or solo q in general. Plus tbh she has A LOT of counters up in the top lane, but regardless you have valid points.

Atm she will be a good support, after she's nerfed maybe only against the right botlane. If the enemy botlane have no counter to Camille R, Camille and Missfortune will be op.
