Reasons for bringing back Teambuilder

While I believe the new champ select for draft mode is a major improvement over the old one, riot shouldn't have completely done away with team builder in exchange for it. With the new system your given no guarantee that you'll get the role of your choice (that is if you only want to go one lane) nor the ability to duo bot with a partner (granted you can swap places while selecting your champion but there's no guarantee that someone will switch with you). On top of that if one person doesn't like their position, their given not one, but two opportunities to dodge, forcing everyone to go back to waiting. Not to mention there's the annoyingly long time it takes to actually select and ban champions. I mean teambuilder wasn't always the fastest thing but you didn't have to pay as much attention as you do in the new draft. Now I'm not saying that riot should get rid of it, I'm just saying that it would be a lot more fun if we had teambuilder back.

Team builder was just a testing phase to create this new champion select. It was never meant to be permanent in the first place. I think narrowing it down to 2 roles is a great compromise. The main reason as one rioter has stated that they are not bringing team builder back is because they want to lower queue time overall. Combining Teambuilder and regular queue reduces over all time. Also the new champion select is... well new. Give it a couple of weeks for everyone to get used to it and dodging will become a thing of the past.

I suggested that instead of forcing people to choose 2 roles, let them choose a primary and an optional secondary. I understand that people might just only choose a primary, but there are definitely a lot of people who would choose a secondary to speed up queue times. This will overall satisfy the playerbase. I'm sure everyone would not mind having to wait an extra minute or two for their primary roles, considering normal teambuilder times were around 10 minutes to start a game.
