Regarding summoner spells as a whole.

So we all know that not quite long ago revive was removed from the game.

I was quite depressed by this and stopped playing league until about a month ago when my friends coaxed me into playing a game. This is however not a rant on RIOT for removing revive and not giving any reasoning for doing so but answers i want regarding reasoning behind balance changes that make me stay up late pondering as to why these changes were made. Alot of the time i feel the changes are quite fine and the patch note also help with alot of my questions. But changes as drastic and baffling as removing something without clarification make my frontal cortex dysfunction. I know it's been done before 'cough' surge 'cough' and even though i wasn't a player back then i really dont get why that was removed either. When it comes down to it, ill just say it removing is just plain bad and should be the last course of action to take against an asset within the game. Especially if that asset isn't causing a rift in the balance space/time continuum. And thats what i cant wrap my mind around youll nerf and change broken assets but when something is the opposite you dont try to fix it but throw it in the thrash. Except for DFG which also blew my mind but yeah that's a different story which has to do with champion balance aswell. Revive, EC, GP10 items, Atmas, they all served a function on some crazy wacky tabacky build. Fuck it, EC was just a solid item which you could buy against "the regen freaks" why couldn't you have it build out of something and give it more stats or another passive and higher its cost. A wrote a crap ton of solutions for this item which i genuinely liked from a designer viewpoint, it served a purpose. I still play my hecarim with ghostblade, talisman, and homeguard mobo's but i wont be bursting an adc without him/her being able to react because i cant reach that 10.000 movspeed anymore. This strategy isn't viable in competitive play because it would be a 4v5 if i get cc'd which is most likely happening without my revive but league of legends, shouldn't be based around "can it be done in the lcs?" in a normal game it has the element of surprise. You slap someones shit like its mf's booty when they're adc can't be alone for less then a second cause shell be popped like a balloon. And its some of the most fun I've had in league. I've seen people arguing that it was removed because it was used to troll, feed harder, and people threatening with reports because somebody picked revive. Surely that isn't true, trolling is happening regardless of revive and feeders will lose you games without revive and people will report your simply for not liking your face or playing urgot. I derailed a bit there but all this bs aside it still stands that if league was a game endorsing creativity and diversity. Then why do you deprive us of our (x)planks, pony's on speed, ap xins and you name it. AP GP and AP Xin lived on lichbane passive it's passive was crucial for their viability then you nerf the passive because of three champs who you then also give back something to nullify this nerf while giving nothing back to those who dared be creative. The last sentence of the patch note for it was the only hope i had. But we never saw anything to help these champions. Then you introduce luden's and for a moment i think my prayers have been answered. But alas the truth unveils when i realize i have been tricked and deceived. And even though our circle might be small i hope you will take notice. And maybe just maybe take us in account when you make future changes to the game.

All this apart theres still some solid shit i want cleared out. 1.) What was the actual reason revive was removed?

2.)How are balance changes decided? (what do you take in account etc. etc.)

i just want to say this to make sure you know: I love league i love Riot games fuck i'll kill for a job as concept designer. I just feel unnoticed with some of the changes (not all! buff on hecarim passive was the shit)

Yours truly, Rendord the fourth

Nobody cares. This is not going to affect the structural growth of the Dutch economy.

Edit: Ok, now I've actually read it... This looks awful on your future resume. I guess you can stop practicing saying "Do you want some fries with that?" now.

Edit: I hate you.
