Veigar Changes/Tweaks

Hey all, while going through the boards I checked a few Veigar threads out of curiousity and thought about (as well as stumbled on) a few interesting ideas, which I hope I've managed to flesh out to some degree.

Firstly, his cage could really work as one - with borders that are half-visible before it actually appears. It doesn't have to stun, in fact I was thinking that his delayed AoE skill could be the one that stuns, if the people it hits are inside the cage and apply a slow afterwards for example. Now the cage could remain as big as it is, given that it wouldn't do that much apart from restricting movement to a particular place, sort of like J4's ult, but friendly champions could be allowed to walk through it (depends though, just a thought that came to mind, while typing this out). I believe that could add some strategy to his kit - if you have to run away, throw down a cage so the enemy team can't chase you or even use the AoE to apply a slow on the ground for a few seconds. As for the cage placement - if the walls are half-transparent before it's placed, that could be awesome for teamfights, where not everyone is paying attention to the surroundings. Under these conditions, I suppose dashes could be allowed to escape the cage before it's placed.

The other idea was to change his ult a bit, which is a seperate proposal. The way it currently works, it blows up high-ap champions. However, wouldn't it be better if it was actually changed to this - the difference between your ap Veigar and your target's ap is used as an amplifier. That way he could counter ad champions much more successfully than ap ones (mainly thinking tanks and adcs for this one). The reason that I find for this to be implemented is that right now, a character, who can deal higher damage to ad characters and champions, who don't stack ap, would be much more valuable in a teamfight or a 1v1 so that he can escape at all. Now if someone has more ap than him that part of the damage of the ult (i.e. excluding base + self-ap ratio) could just be 0. It comes to mind he could deal even less damage as a sort of punishment to the player, that he would use it on a high-ap target, but I don't think that would be sensible in his current state or form.

I believe the so called identity crisis that he is going through right now (personal thought) could be solved with this design or a similar one - make him a burst mage yes, but also a bit more teamfight oriented, while keeping his R as a way to get kills/stay alive. Happy to hear your thoughts :)
