Levels vs cs difference.

Over the course of several games i try and push for an early lvl 2 power spike. The catch here is that me and my opponent get to lane at the same time. Iv even landed a kill on a them in a few games increasing my cs lead further. Iv witnessed 5-10 cs + 1 kill over my opponent and often times when i get back to lane they have the lvl advantage. This confuses me greatly. I don't expect them to be getting or sharing exp with jungle camps as most of the time iv got the wave pushed into the turret and they have to get back to it to defend and continue with there cs'ing. Someone explain lol?

Iv seen this too. Its almost like CS that are later in the game (even by a few minutes) give more exp.

This is why if I get a early kill I stay in lane and just play really safe and back when they back or when they leave lane.

I think it is also why when they get first kill and stay in lane they are 2 lvls up once I get back in lane.

Maybe you're not standing in xp range

I main Olaf. Its kinda hard not to be in exp range lol. If I land a kill or cause them to back. I will shove the lane to there turret and back myself. I dont know where im going wrong :/

If you slow pushed the lane and not all the way to their turret while they teleported back, chances are you will be down exp (if you went back)
