Normal Matchmaking

I just wanted to make an observation in hopes that someone could provide some insight into some of the problems I've been having with normal matchmaking. Last season, I would happily enter normal games, playing with and against other level 30 accounts ranging from mid silver to mid gold, and it seemed as though most of the people in my games were of about the same skill level. Now, I never know who I'm gonna get matched with. I tend to look at people's profiles before I get into game, and I've noticed a high number of people who are not at my skill level, on both ends of the spectrum. I don't mean to sound mean or anything, but a lot of the people I get on my teams just simply don't know what they're doing. Many of them are still only level 20, so I can understand it when they don't understand stuff, but it's frustrating to get into games with level 30s who don't understand that unique passives can't be stacked. What's even more frustrating is the fact that I'm getting placed with people who get irritated by the slightest critique or suggestion, which I hadn't really seen much when I played norms in season 6. The opposite happens as well; I'll find myself in games with people far better than I am. Many of them are plat or diamond, and I can't help but wonder how matchmaking could possibly believe they play at a level close to mine. I ended season 6 in low silver, so I accept and understand that I'm not the most talented or dedicated player. But I am not on the same skill level as level 20 players who are still learning the most basic concepts about the game, nor am I as skilled as the diamonds who can run circles around me. This probably sounds really whiny, but I felt the need to bring attention to something I've been noticing since the preseason was released. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Does anyone have an explanation for what's going on and whether or not it will be fixed?
