He can't roam as well as champions such as quinn, zed or nasus . He doesn't have the lategame of champions like veigar, vayne and Kow maw and he certainly doesn't have the range or champions like lux, xerath and caitlyn. We should give Renekton one of these three things to bring him more in line with everyone else.

And Renekton isn't supposed to have any of those. He's an early game lane bully that can team fight pretty strongly, or split push effectively.
Renekton is in a pretty bad spot especially with the removal of fervor... he isn't even an early game champ any more. Tanks bully him 
early and also scale better in team fights. Theres pretty much no point in picking renekton anymore.
