How does the surrender system work????

How?? We all wanted to surrender but this one guy in my team wouldn't. It said "Early surrender vote wasn't animous for your team 4/1"

What does that mean? 1 people can hold 4 people hostage?? Does this mean I can hold 4 people hostage for fun by voting no??? What??? I don't get it.

And yes, we lost that game.

I don't want to turn this thread into a complaining thread. I just want an explanation how does the system really work? Is there some kind of time limit?

Early surrenders - those initiated at any time after the remake period has expired until 20 minutes - require all in-game teammates to say "yes" to it. This means 5/5, 4/4, 3/3, etc.

A remake - The "surrender" vote that happens if someone DCs super early - requires only half of connected teammates. This means if 1 person never joined in, you only need 2/4 votes to remake.

A normal surrender - those initiated from 20 minutes onward - requires one less than all teammates connected. If 5 are connected, you need 4 to say "yes", for 4 connected, you need 3, and so forth.

prior to 20 mins you need all teammates to vote yes, at 20 mins and after it just 4

On a different note, i always believed that if 3 people wanted to surrender and 2 are against, it should go through. DEMOCRACY
