Why is riot desperately trying to make him an AP carry while his design is clearly fit for a tank ? They have been buffing his AP ratios and making his abilities to do AP damage instead of resistance based ? If their intention to make him an AP carry why did they rework him to be a tank because his design and his kit clearly suggests that he is supposed to be a tank not an AP carry.

I'm definetly sure galios change was to aim in more of a hybrid champion. theoreticaly giving his w damage was a try to make players build 1,2 ap items into tank. Cause Ap galio mostly benefits from his q poke or (r)-q-e-passive-combo. But if you go in with a full ap galio in teamfight and taunt the adc without having resistances you will get critted away. Practicaly people play him ap now with zhoynas as their "armoritem" and maybe a roa at the begin too.
so true -- all AP Galio's in ARAM are just carrying entire games. The damage is ridiculous.
