Can Anyone Explain Placements?

I'm 7-1 in Placements, my 1 loss was to a group of Plat players early on and it was a close game. After that it was consistant low Golds but has slowly been declining into mid Silvers after each win. The other day it was all Gold Vs and Silver Is and some Gold IVs, today was all Silver IIs and IIIs and a couple of Gold Vs, its just becoming a stomp fest for me and I figured as long as I kept winning I'd get a higher ranking, but the further I go in placements the more worried I get. I don't like stomps or blow outs. I like even, close games where decision making makes a difference to the outcome. Where team play can make or break the whole game...I hate being able to solo carry the games...

the placements are good the first time your account touches ranked

then placements are straight shit aafterwards

you will get placed in mid to high silver. you cannot get placed higher than you were at the end of last season, if you go 9-1 you will likely get silver 1.

true but when everyone did their placements this season the majority got but in the division below, atlas at the time this was flooding the boards.

As for the quality of your gaming experience this season.... That will not improve. Sadly dynamic queue is producing the worst quality gaming experience game in and game out of all 6 seasons I have played. The games will mostly be poorly paired and mostly stomps one way or the other.
