Why are players who try to win punished for Criticism?

Players play ranked because they like the format and want to win games and climb the ranks. Why do we get punished for stating just the facts. A player ruins the entire game when they feed their lane and go 0-20 by the end of the game. Why does riot condone feeding yet punish the players who actually play to win and voice their opinions. Check my match history. I don't feed and I have a winning record. Somehow I'm still Silver V. Without trolls or feeders people wouldn't rage.

Without trolls or feeders people wouldn't rage.

LoL is a team game. It involves teamwork to win. Being capable of getting along with other players is a massive skill to have in any team sport, LoL isn't any different. Ultimately you want to work with your teammates, not against them.

Blaming others and chastising your team-mates is a huge weakness, one that will get you fired in professional settings, and one that will kill team-spirit and often cause losses in team games. And really - lashing back at someone with an eye for an eye mentality is really difficult to sympathize with or respect someone for. If you respond to negativity with an equal amount of negativity, you're cultivating a negative atmosphere by creating a standard that negative things demand to be responded to with an equal amount of negativity, creating an infinite loop of negative reactions that just spiral downhill from there. Creating a negative atmosphere also effects your entire team rather than just the player you're raging at. If you let your emotions get the better of you you're probably responding much more subjectively than objectively as well, which can easily lead one down a path where they're blaming people that really aren't at fault for the current situation.

Also, the "he started it" argument doesn't even work in Kindergarten. There's no meaningful distinction between raging or responding to bad situations with rage, either way you're part of the Elo hell experience for everyone else.

That poll has a leading question that puts those who are voting in a negative light no matter how you slice it.

Verbal abusers always get punished.

Intentional feeders always get punished.

Those who feed simply because they

  1. get outplayed hard
  2. are not skilled at the game, and/or
  3. are merely having a bad game do not get punished at all since these things happen.

1: perhaps it's not WHAT you say, it's HOW you say it. It's the words chosen and the context of the situation.

2: Have you considered that Silver V is the place you're meant to be? I've looked over multiple things from Lolking and op.gg and I've realized that where I am right now is where I'm supposed to be. My winrate is about what it's supposed to be at. I'm okay with that. Is there a reason you're not okay with where you are? Just because you 'know' you're better doesn't mean you're ACTUALLY better. It just means you feel like you are from the objective data that you see from your matches.

3: I have people who troll in Normals all the time when I try to win. What do I do? I roll with it. I don't start trolling, I just do what I can and I stop worrying about if we win or lose. This sort of ties in with #2 in that why are you in such a hurry? Is Victorious Morgana really that big of a prize to you? Is being Gold REALLY that important? I understand wanting to improve and climb, but winning and losing and dealing with sub-par situations is part of the game at large. Perhaps if you didn't treat losing as THE WORST THING EVER, then maybe you'll find yourself raging less.

4: It's a teamwork-oriented game. Don't rage, lead. If someone's having issues and they're not obviously trolling (really trolling not just having a bad game or are severely outmatched), think of ways to work around them. If the enemy team is so busy chasing the 0/8/2 Vayne and she keeps getting caught, why are you not using her as bait? Why are you not warding a side-lane and letting her farm/split-push? Leaders work with the situations they have, they don't complain about the things they feel they should have. You have teammates who are negative. Man up and deal with that in a way that ISN'T throwing a hissey-fit.

5: If you don't like unskilled people in Ranked, STOP PUTTING SO MUCH EMPHASIS ON RANKED AND RANKINGS. If someone is Unranked or Bronze, DO NOT insult them or give them a hard time. I don't care if you really want to, it causes the exact problem you're whining about. I've met a TON of Bronze players who are so mortified about their status that they REFUSE to realize that they are where they belong and they will beg, scream, whine, and cry to get someone to carry them to Gold because they don't want to face the fact that they're Bronze-level in skill. THAT is what gives you your dreaded feeders and seeming trolls.

If the community didn't place so much emphasis on what rank a person is, people wouldn't boost/get carried, feed at higher levels, and you wouldn't have to rage. Adjust your mindset and your attitude and you might find your problem solves itself.

The game is not difficult meanwhile you're Silver V.

You can blame your teammates all you want but if you're stuck in silver its 100% you. If you were good at this game you would easily be capable of carrying out of silver, as generally speaking Silver players are bad and extremely skilled player should be capable of carrying the game themselves.

Anyone with your way of thinking obviously is not very good with people...

Basically your argument dumbed down says: "I wish people weren't bad. If they weren't, I wouldn't have to tell them how bad they are." The truth is, if someone's bad, they most likely know it, and if they don't know it, it is in no way your job to inform them.

if you're telling someone to commit suicide because they suck, yeah punish them but honestly if you say something as simple gg easy at the end of game you really shouldn't get any flak for that, a lot of worse things can be said.

I've noticed people get upset when I give them genuine advice. Like if you're going to Jungle one of your main priorities is Dragon control. You should probably at least be cognizant of what's happening there. This kid legitimately flipped out on me for getting a little upset (although not raging) that he was our jungler and literally 10 feet away but refused to help us with Dragon, which resulted in us losing Dragon to the enemy team instead.

I'm sure a lot of people who feed either don't mean it or they know they need to get better. You won't always have a good game or they make mistakes that they need to learn from. Feeding isn't always on purpose unless they really are trolling. What makes it worse is people who just constantly flame them. And the way you're speaking just tells me you're one of those people who flame for every single thing. People make mistakes, in game or in real life, it's their job to learn from them. Even people in challenger feed time to time, the reason they are still in challenger is that they know what they did wrong and improve on it.

Without trolls or feeders people wouldn't rage.

This is 100% untrue. People rage over not getting their preferred role. People rage over the champions others choose before the game has even begun. People rage when they are getting dominated in-lane, and usually blame the jungler or their lane mate. People rage when the other team is just better. People rage in this game, mainly because most people who play this game are more or less children (late teens and early 20's) who have poor impulse control and the benefit of internet anonymity.

You uneducated people that play league of legends completely missed my point. This game isn't hard. Not feeding isn't rocket science. Trolling is done on purpose. Feeding is on purpose. This game is not in the least bit difficult. Regardless of champion picks there are clear cut decisions that can be made to put your 'Team' in a winning position. Taking dragons, barons, and towers when they are available or not viable for the enemy team to defend. For example a double kill in the bot lane should follow up with a dragon if its it's there. My point is when you have players who deliberately ruin the game for everyone else. Which is in the summoners code. They do not receive any sort of punishment for feeding, trolling, etc. Only players who tell someone the truth. Like case in point- ' Your 0-10 at this point man build tanky so your not useless.' End quote. I get chat restrictions for saying simple things like that yet those that ruin the fun for everyone receive no punishment. All i keep hearing from you whiny sissy nannies is don't be a jerk, it's ok to feed, it's ok to have fun at someone else's expense. Yet in the summoners code it clearly states that this is wrong and that giving constructive criticism is allowed. This may be a team game but it's not a difficult team game. Don't play ranked if your not willing to listen to advice, pings, or even willing to help your team.
