Supports role with "sightstone" from the start

In ranked games support role player must have a sightstone from the start of the game , somehow the system must not allowed to buy other items (just a few for ex) until they buy sightstone or just have that item in the bag from the start ,i like to see that in the future With the new 7.2 ap supports they all do what they like and this affect the game play and a good game

So many times i play with supports and no vision just full ap or tank like a mid or top laner , i ask them to build some vision item but almost every time the respons was rude or "you take that" For the good of the team when i play mid (my main role) i must build sightstone just to help the team and not losing the game but is that fair ? As support to come to my lane take farm make more kills then me at some point and after game flame me in chat? ( i have low damage , i am noob etc) I try to avoid this things but the reason i post here is my last game a veigar support premade with an adc flame me all game and after game they say they report me just like that (the reason was only for asking the veigar if he build sightstone or not) We won i create vision for the team as mid laner we take baron and gg wp but this is the game i want to play ?

I'd rather they just remove Sightstone from the game and properly balance vision accordingly, but i digress.

However that doesn't mean that shortly there after that we don't get sightstone.

It depends on the situation actually. Check people higher than bronze and often enough first back you will see sightstone built first. Typically it depends on if you're being pushed in or the one pushing out. Pushed in, you can afford to go second tier of the gold item. Pushing out it honestly doesn't hurt to get it.

Big thing low elo supports don't know how to do is budget their mana accordingly.

This isn't about mana. This is about the already pathetic amount of gold supports get. Can't support you well if the other support gets items faster.

It's not about being self-entitled. You accused me of something I did not say. I'm correcting you. Don't get mad for making accusations.

If an ADC freezes lane, most of the time the wards will not be needed until the second part of the gold income item is done. That, and they shouldn't be overextending in the first place.

Let me correct your assumptions then. One, didn't accuse you of a single thing. You mistakenly may have took my post for one, but it was not. It was a follow up thought to your own and nothing more. Second, i'm in no way even emotionally impacted by this exchange.

  1. Okay first off you basically said I won't build sight stone because I'm 'self-entitled' for wanting the gold to support my ADC and be viable for my team late game. I did not say that. I don't even complete the gold item until later.

  2. You are claiming I am self-entitled when you rather overextend and not farm. News flash: You get more gold from doing well at csing.

  3. This may be a gank meta, but at the levels that you need the sight stone, it being second is usually a good idea. Jungles should be getting gold from jungle.

  4. You should be freezing lane because of the snowball meta.

Protip: Keeping the lane pushed hard allows you to harass the enemy laners MUCH easier than they can do anything back, and makes it almost impossible for them to engage on you due to your creeps... as long as you don't die to ganks.

They can wait a couple of minutes. It's not the end of the world to have a better support because they are getting the income they need to support them.

I usually go very aggressive after I get my item 2049. Even more so when I complete it into item 2045. I also have more abilities to help my adc by zoning the enemy jungle ganks.

There have been times I didn't need item 2049 because the enemy jungle didn't gank much or there was two tops. Most of the time, I have it. I may sell it at like 21 mins or so, but I had it.

I said Riot must implement in the sistem at start the support role just have the sightstone free or if is not posible that player have some restriction to buy items before sightstone Also i am in gold 1 atm so here is the problem , diamond and gold players want to troll sometimes

Nope.

I'm a very strong supporter of every single support buying a sightstone, but there are games where it just isn't worth buying. A couple days ago I played Raka and knew my adc and I couldn't outrun the enemy Yi jungle, so you know what I did? Bought pure AP. If we can't escape, he and his ziggs/malz bot duo will just had to die.

Also what about lane trades if the player who was supposed to be support is no longer support it would hurt his Laning ability unless he could sell it back.

Issue then becomes what does it replace for support: exhaust/ignite or flash? Take out a spell that either peels or helps during a fight or a support's ability to gap close or escape. It's definitely an idea, but not the best kind of solution.

I mean Im guessing it would replace exhaust. It's a solid trade off if you want that early vision so much. I mean exhaust sits on cd for fuck all ever once it's used anyway. This would open up a whole new slot and maybe let supps build a little more dmg so they can ya know...enjoy the game.

[zombie-brand-facepalm] Man, I had instances that if I buy Sightstone first my ADC complains that I did not got Face of the Mountain to protect him. And if I buy FotM first he complains that I didn't bought Sighstone first.

Players forget that Control Wards is everyone's role.

I have have fun while also buying sightstone. I tend to enjoy games more when I can see the enemy, but I guess i'm silly like that. :)

As is rotating trinkets between adc and support until sightstone is purchased. I honestly am thankful for those that ward without me asking and genuinely pleasantly surprised when I support one that buys a control ward.

As a separate thought from the above replies, I think what bugs me most about supports that don't buy sightstone at all are when their entire team outwards them, which i've seen all too often. It feels like some people are unclear on what the support role entails and just want to be another damage dealer. :/

Honestly I think it's ridiculous that any specific role be forced into a wardbot. Forcing supports to buy sightstone before they can buy anything else is like forcing supports to play specific champions. It limits the game. Guess what, there are other items that grant vision but no one uses them because "I want my slow/mini exhaust"item 1418 item 1409 item 1410 item 1408 . Not to mention an ADC buying a item 2045 would not hurt them, considering they build quite a bit of item actives, and the HP wouldn't make them as squishy either. Imagine a 72 second item 3139 instead of 90 seconds, or a 72 second item 3153 , or 36 second item 3142, or heck, all 3.

Let's not even talk about when the ADC is so terrible or behind that a support building damage would be better than the ADC building it.
