I like to jungle and I may be a scrub asking but how do you 1. counter-jungle safely without risk and 2. Gank well? P.s. I'm at 3300 ip and saving for a 6300 champ Kha'zix or Rengar? Tell me pros and cons would be appreciated :]

Counter jungling relies heavily on vision. Ward up until you are comfortable. Make sure you're watching the lanes to see when someone is missing. If they're missing play it safe and expect they're coming to kill you and run. As for ganking it varies between champions. If you're referring to Kha'Zix and Rengar they're both very strong gankers.

Rengar you'll want to build up max ferocity stacks and try to land your Bola Strike. This will stun and pretty much guarantee a kill. If you're ganking top/bot try to go for a lane gank and make sure your laner has either cleared the wards or ensured that it's not warded. Or you can wait until 6 with your ult and suprise anyone who dares to overextend.

Kha'Zix you'll want to do basic side ganks on low health champions. A full health enemy champion won't go down easily to Kha'zix and because he's naturally pretty squishy until late game you'll want to play safe until 6. Try to isolate champions by getting them away from minions or other champions. Very good counter jungler because he can kill basically anyone who wanders to close. Upgrade claws, then wings.

Challenging smite with warrior on both of them. The additional true damage will help loads.

  1. Track the enemy jungler, make sure your lanes are pushed on the side you want to invade
  2. Practice, learning how to make a gank smooth, and feeling forced comes with time.
  3. Wait till next patch, they're both getting reworked.

  1. Vision helps. It's also safe to counterjungle if you see the enemy jungler show up on the other side of the map. Lastly, mobile champs with CC have an easy time escaping if discovered.

  2. GANK AFTER POWER SPIKES. That is the best advice any jungler can ever give you. If you want to gank top, unless it's urgent, you can clear through the jungle to get there. If you have a lot of gold, go back and buy before ganking. If you gank without powerspikes, you're saying, "No, I don't want free stats to make this go easier. Levels/Gold = stats.

  3. Already been siad but they're being reworked.

Everything else has been covered, but I like Kha'zix better than Rengar, he feels stronger early, and he doesn't have to wait to fill a ferocity bar before ganking to have strong success rate.

I think Rengar would win the 1v1 late currently, but after the rework, it'll be interesting to see.

1.) If jungler shows on map, he can't be somewhere else on the map. This gives you a chance to go and take his camps. 2.) Look for lanes that are overextended. Also if they are low, try for a dive.

Rengar > Kha atm, but after rework I'm not sure.

As a new jungler i suggest you play a few custom games or Coop vs ai games, to practice the ganking side of jungling and getrting to know the jungle camps etc

although it's currently pre-season and the jungle and camps are getting a assumed change, it give you a taste of what jungling is like before going all in on the champion.

I always assume the enemy jungler is doing the exact same thing as i am. getting camps and looking for gank opportunity, only certain jungle champions are brave enough to invade. the reward for ganking is better than invading imo.

try it out, it's a different world, don't forget your smite.
