Its been over 6 years since yorick has gotten a skin. his only skins both came out on the day he was released. i feel as though it is kind of insulting to the entirety of yorick players and fanbase to neglect a champion for such a long time. plz riot just one skin.

This is not a "confirmation," only a "we're pretty sure we can deliver" that gives them some wiggle room in case they fail. Either that, or the Skins team abandons all promises and pretenses of quality and makes an cheap looking, lazily conceived, and outright insulting to Yorick fans homage to Shovel Knight for 520 RP and calls it a "success."

You get a lux skin, everyone is going to buy it and start playing Lux if they stopped.
You get a Yorick skin, and there isn't a very big player base that 100% will buy it, and not that many that would jump in, because frankly, he isn't flashy or "exciting" by Riot standards. He is almost guaranteed not to be in a pro game, so he won't have the skin shown off there, he won't be played on any pro streams because, he really isn't that good compared to what most streamers/pros play on stream, so no exposure there.
Just realistically, there is no dollar signs in Riot's eyes when they look at Yorick, despite the fact that you and me would love a Yorick skin, Riot knows there is no money to be made there.

Glory ln Death1 votesNo, Yorick effectively did not exist as a champion for the first 5 1/2 years. For all intents and purposes, Yorick came into existence only a little less than a year ago with his rework. Riot couldn't make skins for a champion that didn't exist.

Atreus Jones1 votesArcade Yorick was apparently leaked, but I feel his arcade skin may resemble that of a darker color pallet, kinda like shovel knight's Spectre of Torment dlc. Perhaps a color like that of the Black Knight, and the Maiden some interesting colors to match.
Yorick himself is also just hard to make skins for thematically sure you can make some cool skins, but he fits in the category of someone like Azir or even Kled, they're very unique and making skins for them requires the right kind of theme
in my opinion, Arcade Yorick will be a gritty arcade skin, just like Secret Boss Viktor, but he won't get skins often due to his thematic

Not really. it's not a completely in accurate leak. It did reveal that Urgot could drag people in and they would be fuck if it happened.

korppi tuoni1 votesThe problem was, he just got a big rework with a VGU, so they just rebuilt his entire rig/art/old skins. Creating a new skin at the same time you're rebuilding the champion rig is never gonna work. Creating a new skin before the VGU is just a waste of time since you're just gonna have to redo it anyway. It's the same reason Galio, Urgot and Evelynn haven't got skins in a while. Champion skins are planned out like a year in advance so they have time to create them. His rework is just hitting the point where it's been out a year, so hopefully he should get one soon.
