seriously, most players that get these rewards already have all if not most of the champs, now that level up rewards give you champ shards that you will never use, and it takes on average a week or more to get enough keys to open a chest and then get a fricken champ shard Is this the reward system that you guys intend on?
I mean, you can't expect the system to only be designed around people who ran home with a veritable treasure trove of blue essence from when they converted all our bought runes from the old system.

That's why Riot is adding even more stuff you can get from chest. Just so that you get less and less skins. :)

And I've used shards to upgrade to mastery 7 on several champs. Really no reason for them to continue giving me the same champ shard when I already have 2+ in my collection. At least throw a different shard of equal BE value in there. Don't really need 4 Annie/Blitzcrank/Fiddlesticks/Morde shards when only 2 can be used to upgrade mastery levels.
So I guess I disagree with removing champ shards from Hextech, but at least don't let them be a duplicate+.
New players need those to help acquire a roster quicker, though. Yeah they're useless to longtime players but that's true of most progression systems.
Eh, I'm personally fine with it, but that's just because I have 18 keys and 0 blue essence.
just say it, "i wanna more skins", cuz they'll substitute champ shards with another no need loot and, and you'll be here again complaining*[sg-lulu]*
If you want only Cosmetics, you have to BUY the Masterwork chests. They aren't going to remove champions from the regular chests.
