When do i get my gold border?

So for the last 4 months ive been grinding non-stop to reach gold rank and i finally did last night at 2:30am.i even screenshotted it and looked up my name on op.gg to confirm it was there. Today however with the new season 9 update my account says my last rank was silver 2 and i dont see any gold icon or border anywhere. Will i still be recieving itthis new season or was all that grinding a waste of time? I dnt fully understand the new season changes.
