Demotion Series

Why is it that you have to go into a series in order to be promoted but if your having a bad day and lose a few you just get demoted? I have always hated the fact that if you are demoted it drops you, from one loss 25 points. So not only do you now have to win anywhere from 1-3 games to get back into your promotion series you now have to win additional games to get re promoted the amount depending on if you are moving divisions such as silver to gold or ranks such as gold 3 to gold 2. What I think should be implemented would be a demotion series. It would work exactly the same as a promotion series only opposite. If you hit zero points in a division or rank after a match you will then be prompted that you are now in a demotion series. If it is to a different division such as gold to silver as stated before then it would be a best of 5. If you lose then you would be demoted and have those points deducted from you. If you win you stay in you current division and gain the points instead of losing them. If its a matter of a rank such as the gold 2 to gold 3 example then same thing only a best of three. If you really want to improve your user experience this could be a great solution for people who are just having a off day or just getting some unlucky teams. It also seems like a much more balanced way of seeing if people need to be removed from a rank or division. I really hope to get some feed back on this issue so please share this around.
