Tribunal is broken as hell

I know that the trolls are going to come out of the woodworks, and a lot of people are going to tell me I'm leaving WAY more games then I'm actually leaving if I'm getting placed in lower priority queues and what not... but I'm hoping that if enough people step up and express to Riot how brokenly unfair their AFK penalties are maybe they'll fix them.

Last night I played a game on my mac laptop (which is problem number 1 I know) and my internet was working absolutely fine for everything else. I have not had a game where I've afked, or dced in well over a month or two. For some reason, when I loaded onto the rift, my ping shot up into the high 2000's and 3000's. In effect, unplayable. I stuck it out for as long as I could, and eventually for a short period of time it came down. After being set majorly behind I did my best to still be useful to my team and tried to farm up and help out. There was a Jinx on the other team who was having the same issues as me. For 5 precious minutes I had fine ping. Then it blew up again and never came back down. I was dced from the game and was unable to reconnect. Again, I was able to run a million other things perfectly fine. Youtube, various other graphically heavy sites, Hearthstone etc. All worked fine. I turned them all off to lower bandwith stress on League... didn't help. In other words... the problem wasn't on my end.

When I logged on this morning... I was notified that I have 5 games which I have to wait 20 minutes before I can play. Wtf? This is absolutely wrong. Literally I get boned by the servers once every few months and I'm getting gangbanged for it. I barely have enough time to play the match on it's own, let alone wait 20 minutes for access. Riot needs to fix this. I mean like, obviously this isn't a problem for the vast majority of people but for the few (which is actually still a large amount of people) who get boned like this, it really sucks.
