Irelia Rework Rework

It's been a while since the rework came out, and I finally thought out what they should do to her. I think that I would prefer her to be more similar to her old form. Here are my thoughts on the current state of the rework:

Irelia Rework:

Passive is better, an actual passive, a reworked form of her old W Q is the same. W is new, does not necessarily feel as good E is a skill shot stun which marks the target, Good reworked ability R is a better ult for teamfighting, not as good for dueling, but works

Passive is should heal similar to her old W, a small amount of healing per hit, doubles when passive is fully stacked, her passive auto attacks should be true damage not magic, I want basically her passive to be basically like her old W, and when fully stacked, should do the same thing as her old W when activated. Also it should stack just from auto attacking enemies.

Q is good, the marks are a good improvement, but AD ratios and base damage should be the same as the old Q.

W is fine as is.

E is good but the stun should be longer at later ranks, should be more rewarding for landing it as its not a super easy skill shot, or point and click. (Like it was on release)

R should get some AD ratios, but other than that is fine as is.

Ryze should be re-named to Ryze Cream in his next re-work.

You're asking for straight buffs to Irelia, you realize this right? Giving her higher base damage on Q when you can now use it multiple times as opposed to once? That makes no sense. True damage on her passive also makes little sense, as again, she already has high damage and her win rate is barely below 50%, which is probably because the champions in the mid lane she's playing against counters for her, as are her top lane matchups. E gives 80 base damage at rank 1.That's already 1/6 of a champion's health pool, and Irelia is pretty decent even late into the game last I played against her. She doesn't need a good late game, that's why she was nerfed in the first place because she had both. It's also pretty easy to land and can hit multiple targets now as opposed to one with old Irelia. R AD ratios again, would be a straight buff to Irelia, like everything else you're mentioning. None of this is a "rework" idea, just asking for buffs.

Alright, I might have gone overboard with this. I'm just frustrated that she's not as good at dueling as she used to be. Your comment about Q makes total sense. E needs good base damage because it has no AD ratio, the damage is the same as it was pre-rework, but its harder to land now, not being point and click. I think that the E should have the same effects as before the rework because its a skill shot which is predictable due to its two parts. It wouldn't be broken if she got healing from her passive like she got healing from her old W passive, especially as grievous wounds are so easy to get now. Riot is already trying to make her back into better dueling and worse teamfighting, which is what the last changes were all about. I want Irelia to have true damage like she used to have because it allows her to beat tanks like she used to do and she should do. Her old R gave her healing, had AD ratios, and multiple sheen procs if used right, making it extremely good for dueling. Her new R is a good teamfight ability, but not as good for dueling. I think her R should scale with AD, but its base damage could be nerfed to compensate.

The problem with her R giving her an AD ratio is it's already really good damage without one(Sure you could nerf the base damage but this could incentivize her to build straight damage for a burstier late game), also giving it an AD ratio would likely cause her to start building gunblade, because her E also has an AP ratio, combined with her R having a ratio for both, her W has an AP ratio and an AD ratio, and her Q has an AD ratio. This could push her into a guinsoo's gunblade build. Old Irelia STILL suffered against tanks. The true damage on her auto attacks were not that significant to a tank, they just ignored base defenses on non-tanks. Magic Damage does this quite well as well, and the damage is increased on her passive from before. Her old W passive did 15 per auto rank 1(that's until level 14). New passive deals from 4+13.2+4%bAD to 16-52.7+16%bAD magic damage per auto, while also giving 30-50% attack speed AND dealing 32-105+32%bAD extra damage to shields at max stacks between levels 1 and 13(the point at which old Irelia would get W rank 2). So not only does it do more damage than old Irelia's W passive, it also scales, unlike her old W passive. Also, Irelia's Q heals her, she doesn't need healing on autos as well. She has sustain in the form of her Q. This is good as it also makes her use mana for that sustain, and again, that sustain also scales.

Her passive damage does scale better than the old W. However, I don't see that making Gunblade/Guinsoo a viable option is a problem, nor do I see that AD ratios on her ult would be a problem. Sure, both of these builds would give her an option to increase her damage, but that would mean she would give up her tankiness. It would be more like Riven's options. Riven can build straight damage and lethality, but if she does this she also gets burst quickly herself and lessens her survivability. Or she can build BC, DD, GA, Randuins, and Spirit Visage (for a really tanky build). It would open up more viable build paths. As for the sustain on her Q, it's pretty negligible and much less noticeable than her old W sustain, also I don't think it scales well. Her old sustain came mostly from her ult after laning phase. Also, the sustain in laning she would get passively from autos wouldn't be noticeable unless fully stacked, which would only be caused by fighting champions. The current Aatrox gets ~20% lifesteal passively for free against minions which is very noticeable and he doesn't have mana costs. (They just nerfed it against minions this patch I think, but still he has a lot more sustain than Irelia does, with an already better laning phase).

The thing is Irelia ALREADY CAN build lethality one shot builds if she wants. No one does it because it's not a good option for someone who wants to be in the middle of the fight(same for Lethality Riven). GUINSOOS is busted. We don't need another guinsoos abuser, and no this isn't just opening up another build path. This would literally buff her ultimate regardless if she built more damage or not, because 1. Everyone has base AD, and 2. Sterak's gives bonus AD(plus she does build some damage), so even if it were JUST bonus AD, she'd get a buff to her ultimate. Aatrox is a completely different beast as far as lifesteal goes. He was always made to be a sustain fighter. Irelia just had sustain on top of the billion other things she had. Irelia's always been a generalist. She shouldn't have good EVERYTHING.
