a serious issue

The server move made my lag drop about 30 ping, which is awsome. but for teemos sake, WHY AM I LAGGING?! 81 ping max, 500+ fps uncapped, and yet when i throw a q as mundo, or when volibear throws me or when the minions spawn or there are to many in lane, or...

Whenever to many things happen in my area the game rubber bands like a teemo who just ate 300 shrooms! its unplayable! I'm sure that there's probably just something wrong with the Isp interaction for the new or something, but i haven't seen or heard anything about it from you guys which is really worrying me. what i have seen is other people complaining about it as well with no real answer to the issue. please, please make a public announcement that youre fixing it if something is wrong. i need to know if its me, or something else.

sorry for the Teemo

meanwhile us unfortunate enough to have cox barely experienced a ping change

well cox has always had problems. i would rather have not changed my ping at all then what i have now. i cant play at all now. not with any efficiency at least.

I know when I left my fps go unchecked sometimes my computer would reel back and lag me like crazy. I can't see more than 60fps anyways, so I capped it there, turned of anti-aliasing and it pretty much fixed the problem for me. If you feel like you're getting a spam of info, data log your stuff and send it to Riot with a support ticket. Eventually people like that get caught. Don't surf PH while logging though.

i thought maybe thats what this was, however its still happening at low graphics and capped fps with solid ping so...

sounds like you have issue with your pc, reached the limitations of your graphics card, or something of that nature. You should probably cap the frames a bit lower, fps can also be looked at in refresh rates and it is possible that your monitor is not capable of displaying the the frames at that rate. Try tuning that and the other graphics down and see if the issue goes away.

what i would recommend:

FPS capped @60

Set all graphics sliders as low as possible and turn off any anti aliasing or extras like that.

play a game or two and try to replicate the rubber-banding .

if it happens even on the lowest settings, try reinstalling your graphics card driver.

if it goes away, slow move each slider up one notch at time and one slider at a time and test after each one and see where the rubberbanding returns and you will know where your setup's limitations are.

good luck

trust me its not my computer. i run arma 3 at ultra with 200fps. there is no way its my computer, league of legends client uses 1.1% of my cpu power while its playing. this is LAG. connectivity lag. the problem is my ping does not move from 81 ping the whole game. this is not me. but hell, just for kicks ill run it on low.

ok, well...it doesnt do that on my computer...even before the move when i had 120ms ping, no rubberbanding occurred. so good luck. maybe a reinstall?

Psychoveil1 votes

its not happening for everyone obviously. i have tried repairing and it didnt work. i have my doubts that reinstalling will do anything. i think it has something to do with specific ISP's.

i just attempted turning it down. on custom games i have 68 ping. 60 fps solid with cap and on all low the rift looks like runescape. there is still desync happening with minions on my screen and when i auto attack or move there's a desync on my character itself sometimes,. most primarily when i click alot, orb walking of juggling.

someone posted this on another thread, i believe that this is whats happening.

"Many people are having routing issues. What happens when they join the server is your IP gets routed to the West before it goes to East/Chicago (which results in a 30~ ping increase.) This is a issue with many ISPs and will probably be worked out in the coming weeks. These things can't magically be fixed in one night due the fact that there are so many players with so many ISPs that all need to be configured to re-route traffic properly."

if this is what it is then i get it, what i dont get is why they havent said anything about it yet! leaving us to figure it out ourselves!

you can find out where it is going by opening a command prompt (if windows) and typing

tracert

then the ip address of the server i cant seem to find the new address anywhere, maybe someone else can help with that.

EDIT: i think i found it 104.160.131.1

complete command would then be

tracert 104.160.131.1

these were my results on that. it seems that there are moments of inconsistency in connection.

i can say that the seventh hop there is deffinitely a problem. how long has this been going on and where is that seventh hop? I just recieved a work email stating that there is an issue with time warner backbone between Cleveland and Syracuse and is an issue for any traffic that has to go through there.

but as an aside, if there are only 9 hops to the server you are pretty close, and i believe at some point it was mentioned that it was thought your problem was that it was going to california first then chicago, even though you removed all hostnames i can tell you that is not happening here, you would need at least twice that many hops to go to ca then chicago.

i can assume that 3,4,5 are all your isp backbone and then things go to pot somewhere at 7 or maybe 6, since that hops is blank idk. you can use the host name given to look up which isp that is, and possibly contact them about a resolution or your isp and see if they can do something.

unfortunately the issue is not riot, your pc, or the client. its out on internet somewhere at that 7th hop...996ms is for sure your problem
