I understand that farming is an important part of the game and all, but should I really be punished for roaming and ganking other lanes as a top laner in regards to master score? It'd be nice if Riot lessened the requirments for hitting an S or above. I'm not looking to farm all game and ignore teamfights just to get a rank. There is no reason that this game should not have ended in an S/S+ ranking, let alone an A+
Andevar2 votesIt’s very possible for roamers/gankers , even top lane to get S’s. I play Talon top from time-to-time and aggressively roam mid, jg, or even bot. You just need to have a firm understanding of waves and timing it so you get back in time to collect your minions.

So many people complain about the high CS requirement to get good grades for most roles, usually in reference to their high KDA games with a load of kills, and what they're missing is that a really dominating performance knows how to maximize the best of both farming and roaming for a good score in each.
Meteora7071 voteseh farming too much is a good way for your team to int, sometimes you have to help all lanes and wont have time to farm and want to leave the farm to your team mates anyways.

Being ahead also grants you easier access to farm so it definitely isn’t difficult to both get high CS and KP%.

Good point, I just feel like I have gotten S- and above from games where I was much further behind and didn't dominate as much. I won't lie, I was pretty mad when I saw the score post-game. I've simmered down
Tanerian2 votesGrade isn't based on some predefined score. It's how you match up vs other players using the same champ around your same mmr and also factors in game length.
Theoretically you could have this exact same score in the same length game and get and S+ or a B a month from now. It all depends on how well other players do with that champ.

KDA isn't everything. Personally I think damage is more important, and you only had the 3rd highest damage in the game despite all the gold you secured from kills.
The point of kills is to secure farm. Anything under 5 c/s a minute for a non-support is really low. Remember 15 cs = 1 kill, and even worse if you are just repeatedly killing players with no bounties.
Meteora7071 votesthis would make sense if champions like nocturne and rengar didn't exist, you press R every 60 seconds and you kill somebody, that's like 2-3k damage, any poke champion will always have more damage than rengar and nocturne no matter how well they play.

You're compared to other people of your champion in your role. If you're not getting an S, it means there are too many people who do better than you.
