League made the other team appear as bots, must be a study (seriously)

Alright, my duo and I joined a game. Once we started, there was a message about us being part of an exclusive test and that we would receive a special icon eventually after participating. This was not a player speaking. Then the other team, who were all "Blitzcrank Bot", etc, said a few bot strings.

Alright, so we play, they're really decent. I was actually excited that Riot finally made some advanced bots that could do things like jungle, and all the other stuff normal players do.

We end up winning, get into the end chat. The enemy team all had actual usernames, and then one of them typed in the lobby, "wait, so there were no actual bots?"

They had made us look like bots too. It appears the all chat was filtered out.

I suppose they were studying to see if we played differently against bots. I have no other conclusion.
