Player Leaves while game is loading or in the first 5 minutes... everyone on their team is punished

Why is it that when someone isn't in the game after it first loads up or if they leave after 5 minutes, we get punished? We had to play a game 4v5 for 25 minutes before the player rejoined the game. We were too behind to do anything even though they came back. So we lost and took LP hits because they didn't play half the game.

• I propose that if a person leaves the game before it starts or after 5 minutes that the $ man team should not have LP lost or gained. Why should we get punished for what they did?
• In order to prevent this from being abused we can just dish out double or triple LP lost to only the person that left to prevent this behavior.

I Believe this will make the game more enjoyable and less frustrating to everyone. I've had it happen to me at least three times in my 50 ranked games this season and an equal amount to the other team. I fell sorry when we win against a 4 man team as well. There is no joy in it. It should be a comparison of skill... not who lucked out enough not to get an AFK in the beginning.
