The Early Game Objective That Benefits Late Game Teams Is Ignored

DRAKES The first dragon spawns only one minute after the first jungle camps spawn making it a great early game objective. However, the rewards granted by the Elemental Drakes are %Bonuses which better help late game team comps. With one major (Baron) and one minor (Cloud Drake) late game epic monster the late game transitions into an aram match waiting for one person to mess up. When this happens the team with a numbers advantage rotates to baron with zero consideration for taking dragon and either baron is taken, one team is slaughtered, or both. Intuitively speaking drakes should give Flat bonuses that heavily impact early game with a variety of affects. Slaying a dragon will grant a buff depending on the element ("color") of the dragon; the buff can stack up to three times per element. These buffs are granted to the entire team (of the player who killed the dragon) and last until the end of the game. Cloud Drake: +16/32/48 flat movement speed. Infernal Drake: +6/12/18 attack damage or +10/20/30 ability power, adaptive. (Adaptive ratio taken from ratio in the Runes of about 1.6) Ocean Drake: +4/8/12 health regen and +2/4/8 mana regen every 5 seconds when you haven't taken damage from champions or turrets within the last 8 seconds. Mountain Drake: +4/8/12 bonus true damage to epic monsters and turrets. This change allows for early dragon pressure to transition better into early game dominance which the gold from the old dragon used to provide. Gold Value of Dragon Buffs Based on Item Gold Efficiency Cloud Drake: (16 movespeed)(12 gold/movespeed)(5 Champs)=960 gold Infernal Drake: (6 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)(5 Champs)=1050 gold or (10 ability power)(21.75 gold/ability power)(5 Champs)=1087.5 gold, adaptive. Ocean Drake: [(4 health regen)(36 gold/health regen)+(2 mana regen)(60 gold/mana regen)](5 Champs)=1320 gold Mountain Drake: (1.55)(4 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)(5 Champs)=1085 gold VS Turrets (2.20)(4 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)(5 Champs)=1540 gold VS Baron VS Elder Dragon Ranges From VS Baron up to (2.89)(4 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)(5 Champs)=2023 gold at level 18. Note: These Multipliers are equal to 1+(Target's Armor/100) as there is no standard way to calculate the value of true damage. BARON Gold Value of Current Hand of Baron Based on Item Gold Efficiency Which Scales by time from 20 to 40 minutes From [(24 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)+(40 ability power)(21.75 gold/ability power)](5 Champs)=8550 gold Up to [(48 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)+(80 ability power)(21.75 gold/ability power)](5 Champs)=17100 gold Gold Value from an Adaptive Damage Hand of Baron Based on Item Gold Efficiency Which Scales by time from 20 to 40 minutes From (48 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)(5 Champs)=6720 gold or (76 ability power)(21.75 gold/ability power)(5 Champs)=8265 gold, adaptive. Up to (96 attack damage)(35 gold/attack damage)(5 Champs)=13440 gold or (162 ability power)(21.75 gold/ability power)(5 Champs)=16530 gold, adaptive.
