Damage calculation: Help

So I was playing around with damage Vi with high crit for fun. My understanding is that when you use Vi E the auto attack damage portion can crit then the ability damage adds to that and cant crit. So I tested the damage on minions due to them having 0 armor which I assume I would deal "true" damage.

Stats I had: AD 239 Crit 100% with IE

An auto attack did 630 damage to minions, which was wired because shouldn't it be 2392.5=597.5? Anyways, then when I use E on a minion it does only 759 damage. I thought it would be 2392.5+(65+(1.15*239) which equals 597.5+274.85= 872.35

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong with my damage calculation?

Your damage against minions is dependent on the minion class I'm pretty sure.

Did you have item 3142 ?? If you do you reduced their armor below 0 {only way is by reduction not pen}

Did you mean Black Cleaver? Ghostblade has always been flat pen - not reduction.

I think you are making a mistake with Vi's E as well - it only adds 15% of your total AD to the auto. So it should be 239 by 2.5 for the auto attack crit itself, with an additional 65 base damage on E + the extra .15% AD on the scaling of E by 239. Not 115%. So it'll only add about 100 onto your auto. It looks like you're readding your entire AD with E.

Also, what masteries are you using?

Oh I'm dumb totally forgot about my rune lol, was running flat armor pen so thats where the extra auto damage was coming from. And yeah after reading what you said about the E damage and rereading it on the wiki I was miscalculating the damage. I thought it was in addition to the auto damage, like Rengar Q. THANKS! you solved my problem!
