Karma top lane

I have been playing full AP karma top lately starting with Dorins ring then going into needlessly for Luden's Ekko for then I do Ionian boots and change it up depending on the enemy team. But I have noticed that she is a really good solo lane champ and I chose to take her top instead of mid because a lot of the mid lane champions can counter he like leblanc and lux if they know how to play. But when I take her top he has range domination and shield to take on whatever champ the enemy team has to offer. I have faced malphite, Darius, Fiora, Quinn, and a number of other champions and so far I haven't lost in lane. I am hoping to see more of this from other players considering how rare it is to see a Karma now a days. I have found a new way for her to be played in lane and hope that others find it useful as well.

Numbers might be a bit skewed because of the popularity of certain other champions she can fight really well (I imagine Yasuo gives her a hard time) and it being a relatively niche thing, but yeah.

This works, but be careful with it. Your team may be relying on you to be a tank or AD bruiser depending on your mid/support picks. For instance a Leblanc mid and soraka support would call for a more healthy top lane that doesn't include AP.

However, if you have something like an udyr jungle and a zed/talon/yasuo mid, then by all means go AP karma top lane.

this is true you're right I usually only play her top lane in Norms. for fun I would never do it in ranked

I don't mean just in ranked, but in Draft Normals and just Normals it can be important to balance out your teamcomp if you don't want to cause more salt and toxicity than there already is.

If the situation allows it, playing this sort of off-meta pick in ranked can often help a lot. [slayer-jinx-wink]

I see I see perhaps I shall try her than gotta watch out for some serious top lane bullies though like Yorick it probably wouldnt work against him

I can see troubles with sustain or cc top laners like yorick, renekton, or jax, but for the purposes of ranked, I don't think you should ever base your champion decisions because of the prevalence of Yorick players.

It's the first time since I have started checking champion.gg that Karma is included in the toplaner's list.... and she even has a really good winrate. The amount of games is still rather low, so it's hard to judge. Interesting, though.
