Why are Leblanc and Karma's tether range so looooong right now?!

Seriously... I'm at full length of a LeBlanc tether, flash, and I STILL am rooted... same with karma at the moment. Can we get a fix on that? it's ridiculous.

Karma basically never lands a snare if people make an effort to escape her tether. Let's not complain about what is already basically a zoning ability being too hard to escape from.

The tether range is the same as its cast range so if you walk directly away from Karma you know she will walk directly after you and you can hit her with all your skillshots.

For champions with a dash, it's incredibly easy to dash back as soon as she casts tether to break it.

For those without a dash, who have no cc, who are low enough range that they can't avoid getting tethered in the first place, who don't have the damage to straight-up win the trade by dumping everything on Karma... for them yes, I will grant you, w-e-r-q is a toxic undodgeable combo in lane.

You're probably right about LB, but not with Karma.

I play karma mid/top a lot and the situation you describe happened only a couple of times. Flashing out of range will nearly always free you from the root.

Also, it's not exactly the same issue, but there is a cast time on W, and if you're at max range the spell will fail and go on CD if you lose vision/exit range during this cast time. Karma's tether actually need some fix, but not for the reasons you brought.

Are you using scripts? How would you know if you were at full length,plenty of people SWEAR they were out of tower range when they weren't.

This sounds about right. It feels more like the tether has an unfairly long grace period before it breaks when you move out of range, rather than actually being too long.

Leblanc's chain has a casting range of 950 and a tether range of 1000, so if you're truly hit anywhere near max range, flash should get you out of it immediately.

Colloquially speaking, though, it does feel like her tether is really, really 'generous'. I don't doubt that those ranges are correct, but when you say you still get rooted if you flash at the last second, it sometimes feels like it literally means the entire last second ... out of the 1.5 second duration on the tether.

When she hits you at max range and you flash away the most distance you can, the tether still holds on. It's quite ridiculous considering her already massive burst and crazy mobility, it truly feels like most mages are powerless against her lol.

PS: Her W lenghts has always been the same since her rework.

I bet if Galio gets spammed in LCS, people will call his W "OP" or complain about it. No one was complaining about it b4 this season.

Agreed that LeBlanc's chain's tether range is bullshit, though.

a flash isn't enough to break the tether and it slows you and she can fucking chain it (no pun intended).

they nearly doubled the tether range in the preseason for no fucking reason. well mainly because they buffed ad carries so much they wanted zed and lb to be the control valve. zed got nerfed and lb didn't.
