How to not suck at league :( ive been playing for a good 5 months and i still suck

you joined in the wrong time to play league. this season is more disgusting than politics. while the balance team doesnt know what the fuck are they doing

This is a rough season to start league but theres also just the fact that League is a pretty complicated game. It takes a while to start feeling comfortable in it and sometimes you dont stop feeling like you suck(I've been playing since mid season 5 and still feel like I'm awful at the game). Riot has a very minimal tutorial that does very little to help new players with the sheer complexity of their game.

My suggestion is to watch some youtube videos and to figure out what lane and which champion you want to play; focusing down on a specific champion and lane will greatly free you up for time to learn the rest of the game. The best one for learning, I feel, is probably mid as it has a decent variety of champions, has the second biggest impact on the game, and has less fiddly minion mechanics to understand than top or ADC or pathing routes than Jungle. Mid is likely the best role to learn the game off of.

Some rule of thumb advice. Learn your playstyle, what is it you play well and enjoy. Then start developing a champion pool for that playstyle. Always strive to learn mechanics, check your post game stats every game.

Just have fun when you play mate

5 months is nothing for this game just play and have fun, try different champions don't try to onetrick or stick with only few it will hinder your progress don't be fixated on mechanics, you have to build your game sense/knowledge i remember when i first started i had no idea what i was supposed to do i started this season so i'm still very noob, but i suck a lot less than i used to, so don't worry just have fun
