Add in ability to appear offline on league client?

I would like an option to be able to appear offline on league. I get spammed with messages from friends when I'm playing ranked games and it would be nice to have the option so I can focus on my games and not have people asking questions about my match, or trying to get me to duo or play normals. I think a lot of players would like this feature and I personally feel like it should have been implemented into the client by now.

In my case what ends up happening a lot of the time is I get harassed and end up having to get off the game or go on alt accounts at certain times of the day when annoying friends are online if I don't feel like playing normal games.

I honestly think it’s a great idea with no down sides, especially if you’re an introvert and just want to solo queue incognito.

But there are some extroverts out there who oppose offline mode, simply because they want to force their ideals of being social “all the fucking time” and that everyone is the same and somehow even the neediest of friends will understand there are times when you just don’t want to fucking talk to them- which isn’t the case. Or they want to be able to see what their friends are doing at any given moment. I remember these dudes when they opposed b-net's offline feature because they were worried their friends would appear offline all the time to avoid them. I WONDER FUCKING WHY.

I have like 5 dudes on my friends list that I deal with IRL on a daily basis who constantly ask to play, and when I tell them no it’s always this big fucking deal with them. Like I deal with them everyday, I need a fucking break. Everyone has those social narcissist friends who feel you need to be involved with them or they take it as a personal insult. Just add offline mode.

I've been banging on about this for years. Battle.net has this, Steam has this, and as far as I know, UPlay has this. Just not this game.

Perhaps click on the green circle next to your icon in the top corner?

If you dont like it, tell them that you just don't want to play. and if they cant handle it, they're not really good friends, are they? There is an unfriend option

I've literally been wanting this feature since season 2 when my friends list started to get super big. I have no idea how the hell Riot hasn't implemented it yet, virtually every client for games has an appear offline option.

Riot have stated more than once that they will not add offline mode for god knows what reasons. I found a good alternative in this guide though. How to appear offline on League Of Legends
