Lucian currently has a 45% winrate, going off of champion.gg
If this data is accurate, is there any reason why he hasn't been discussed much? As someone who has and still does play a pretty good amount of him, he doesn't seem that weak to me, yet his winrate and playrate have both been steadily falling over the last month or so. I'm not necessarily trying to ask for buffs here, but rather, an explanation or an interpretation of why he is where he is.
I made a thread about this a few hours ago. I still cant figure out why people refuse to talk about Lucian buffs lol. His winrate is below Kalista's, yet how many "RITO BUFF KALISTA NOW!!!!" threads have their been getting upvoted recently lol
I read somewhere people said it was the change to 
that ultimately made vayne stronger and saw others fall, one being Lucian
again not completely sure, so no flamerino please, i'm not even sure the item was changed and i don't play adc but this is just what i heard
but i do agree he needs buffs, even before his winrate went down (i'm a support main) Lucian always felt like one of the weaker adcs in the game
The changes to armor pen and ghost blade hit him hard.

Look. Before Armor Pen Lucian became the new OP thing Lucian was being built like any other adc. And still functions as such.
With lethality his early game armor pen build doesn't work any more. But people keep building it.
If lucian gets buffed so stubborn people can keep building armor pen lucian. Regular adc build lucian will become the new OP.
People will flock to the build that works well now. And lucian will get nerfed again.
Can we just save the hassle and stop building Lethal Lucian?
There was nothing wrong with ER Lucian, people just became too used to using op builds that now they can't adjust to having to play a balanced champion again.

I think people grew more accustomed to the bursty armor pen play style. He was tankier with black cleaver, could weave more easily with Youmoos which is more forgiving than being a squishy ADC. It has to be a result of the meta though. ADC meta specifically. Right now top ADCs like Vayne and Twitch are simply burstier or sneakier than he is so he really doesn't stand a chance. Jhin wasn't affected by the lethality changes too much (he still builds Youmoos) because of how bursty his kit is (reliable 4th shot crit etc.).
Pretty much. Hes a MUCH weaker version of the Lucian BEFORE Arpen because of nerfs. And that Lucian wasn't OP by any stretch of the imagination. He struggles in lane going crit builds, his mid game and late game are weaker. Fervor is weaker. Every single thing about him is weaker than when he went crit before. Also, you could say the game changed around him too from that point. So many AP support mages dominating bot lane now. New Zyra, Brand, etc.
He's honestly not worth playing. I've played about 525 games on him over the course of the last 2 seasons. This is probably the weakest hes been the entire time Ive played him, and thats even counting back when he was down here before, like 47% win-rate. He at least had his perks then. Now, tehre just isnt much reason to play him. Weak lane, weak mid, weak late, Poor scaling, mobility meh. Vayne and Ezreal as good.
Lucian is kinda like Azir.
He has to be strong in order for people to have fun playing him, and if he is outclassed by others, he is unpicked.
BE AUSE: Riot stated that Lucian's problem the time if he'll be too strong he will overcome every single adversity in the landing phase,which means he will dominate the game. That's how it is with lane bullies
becuase he is fine the way he is. hey all i wriite on here is buffs for varus due to the fact he is weak as shyt and has nothign going for him, gj riot for nerfing fervor/changing
As a Lucian main, he does need help. He does too low damage for being as low range as he is. In the Jihn/Cait meta, he's naturally countered in lane, plus he doesn't spike as hard mid game as either of those champions, so his damage feels low, plus the armor pen options that are available don't really suit him, so mid game he hits like a wet noodle. With champions like Cait/Jihn/Twitch who all scale well with the zeal items, its hard for lucian to compete damage wise. I'd like to see his range be increased back to 550 honestly and potentially a new ability for his w or e, make them a little more interesting. That's just my two cents
I mean his kit was gutted when his armour pen build became favourable and he was balanced around that. Then they removed his armour pen build.
It wasn't just the arm pen build being nerf we forget about Fevor being ass until they start buffing it again in the upcoming patches.
