Two very specific tips to help players get better
As a self-proclaimed veteran in this game (played since mid season 2), there are two tips that I have found to be extremely important for both the relatively new players and old.
-
Riot punishes flaming more frequently and subsequently more harshly. It happens more, pretty self explanatory. After you tried your best to communicate, but nobody cared and told you to STFU, don’t flame. It doesn’t get the point across and riot will make everything you type your responsibility. Instead, split push and look for a fight once in a while (soft int). Not only will you piss off your team (your intention) but you also have less chances of getting banned. If you don’t know, Rioters will actually be on your side for soft inting because you could’ve had a “bad day” or “just doesn’t know how to play”

If your goal is to climb, there are 3 commandments you must live by (newish players)
-Stay away from hard champions (don’t pick Lee sin if you got 10 bot games on him) -Play the OP champions and don’t even think about one tricking non meta picks -Don’t play bot lane
I want to stress the last one very clearly. DONT PLAY BOT LANE unless your mid plat+. The nature of the lane and the nature of solo queue doesn’t not work together. You don’t have comms, you don’t give a fuck, and chances are the support is auto filled and will play behind you with sona/soraka. Instead, play jungle, specifically level 2 cheese junglers. Early leads are now more important than ever and the whole game has devolved into a snowballing fuck fest. Your ape team will hopefully play off your ganks and you’ll win more.
